Raid: Shadow Legends Mastery Guide
As a seasoned player with years of battles under my belt, I must say that understanding these masteries is crucial to building a formidable team. The Spirit-Haste skill is like having a second wind, especially for those champions who can resurrect their fallen comrades. The Sniper mastery, on the other hand, is a sneaky way to tip the odds in your favor by increasing the chances of debuffs landing.
Raid: Shadow Legends ranks among the top-tier Action Role-Playing Games (ARPGs), accessible on Android, iOS, and PC platforms. This game is a turn-based ARPG set in an immersive fantasy universe, leading you on an epic adventure filled with numerous discoveries tailored for self-exploration. The game provides ample freedom to interact with its content based on your preferred playstyle. For novice players, understanding the nuances of mastery might initially prove challenging; thus, we’ve prepared our Raid: Shadow Legends Mastery Guide to help you navigate this exciting world more effectively.
Basic Overview
Mastery scrolls are obtained by farming in Minotaur’s Labyrinth Dungeon and each champion can get a maximum of 100 Basic Scrolls (5 Masteries), 100 advanced scrolls (6 Masteries), and 950 Devine scrolls (4 Masteries). Devine Scrolls are obtained by receiving all the advanced scrolls of the champion and Advanced scrolls are obtained when all the basic scrolls of the champion are obtained. You can also reset your masteries once after that it will cost 150 gems to do so.
For avid Early or Mid-level gamers, investing approximately 800 gems could significantly enhance one of your champions, providing you with a powerful leader across all game domains and modes. This upgrade is likely to accelerate your gaming progress substantially. However, remember that the champion should be at maximum level 60 for the masteries to take effect.
After finishing a Mastery level with one champion, aim to focus gem investment on another champion to reach maximum mastery levels. Once you’ve accomplished this feat with two champions, consider farming tomes from the Minotaur’s Labyrinth to enhance your other champions.
To yield the optimal energy reward in dungeon stages 11-15, it’s advisable to assemble a sturdy team of at least 50 champions (of level 50 or higher) before you embark on such challenges. Currently, Masteries are categorized into three distinct varieties:
- Offense
- Defense
- Support
You need to choose among these three groups what is best for your champion. But don’t worry we have you covered with our Raid: Shadow Legends Mastery guide.
Offense Masteries
In our Raid: Shadow Legends Mastery Guide, we’ve organized Offense Masteries into six distinct levels to make it easier for you to understand their functions and purposes. Each mastery plays a unique role in the game.
Tier 1
Blade Disciple
A +75 Attack mastery is most effective with its Deadly Precision, making it suitable primarily for champions that have guaranteed critical strikes or those who rely solely on basic attacks (such as bomb debuff champions).
Deadly Pricision
Increases your Critical Rate by 5%, a perk widely utilized by approximately 99% of champions, particularly those who are in the Attack role. This skill synergizes well with Keen Strike for an approximate 3% damage enhancement on average.
Tier 2
Heart of Glory
Boosts damage by 5% when attacking while at maximum health. This bonus is particularly advantageous in the Arena, as it enhances a champion’s initial burst of damage at the start of their turn when they are fully healthy, or for champions who can maintain full health due to healing abilities or the Lifesteal Set equipment.
Keen Strike
As a longtime gamer, I can confidently say that grants +10% critical damage is a game-changer for any champion. Coming from someone who has spent countless hours fine-tuning my team compositions and strategizing in-game, I know that the best offense mastery significantly boosts a champion’s overall damage output when combined with a good Critical Rate. This means that your characters will dish out more damage in less time, giving you an edge in battles and helping you dominate the competition. So if you want to take your gameplay to the next level, don’t underestimate the power of +10% critical damage!
Shield Breaker
Enhances damage dealt by 25% towards targets bearing a [Shield] buff. Ideal for combating Shield-endowed champions in Arena (Player vs Player) and Magic Keep Dungeon bosses. The increased damage solely assists in shattering the enemy’s shield, having no impact on their health points.
Grim Resolve
Boosts damage by 5% when attacking if your health is 50% or lower. It’s particularly effective in prolonged fights and complements the Lifesteal Equipment set or the Life Drinker expertise.
Tier 3
Single Out
Enhances the harm dealt to targets whose health is below 40%, causing an additional 8% damage. This is particularly effective against bosses like Clan Boss when their health drops below 40%.
Life Drinker
As a seasoned gamer who has spent countless hours honing my skills and battling through various game worlds, I find this particular ability to be quite intriguing. The fact that it restores 5% of the damage inflicted when attacking with 50% HP or less is an interesting mechanic, especially for those moments when you’re on the brink of defeat.
Whirlwind of Death
Boosts overall movement speed by 6 upon defeating an enemy, with stackable increases throughout a battle (up to a maximum of 18). This ability is primarily designed for the attack-focused champion, as they are often the ones making kills. However, the Whirlwind of Death effect does not affect Spiderlings from the Spider’s Den Dungeon.
Ruthless Ambush
Enhances the initial blow’s impact against opponents, dealing an additional 8% damage. Proves beneficial for both Arena and attacker champions capable of delivering a single, decisive strike.
Tier 4
Bring It Down
As a dedicated combatant, I excel at boosting my offensive capabilities when taking on formidable opponents with substantial health reserves. Specifically, my attacks become 6% more potent against such high-HP targets, making me an invaluable asset for gradually whittling down the boss’s health or outmaneuvering tanky champions.
Wrath of the Slain
Boosts a champion’s attack by 5% for every fallen ally, stacking up to a maximum of 10%. This mastery is ideal for champions that farm quickly when leveling up, and it excels particularly on defensive or HP champions who often survive until the end of battles.
Cycle of Violence
As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I find this Mastery to be a game-changer for attack-type champions in combat. The ability to potentially decrease the cooldown of a random skill by one turn when inflicting damage that exceeds 30% of an opponent’s maximum health is truly advantageous, especially in high-stress situations where every second counts. This Mastery caters to attack-focused champions who excel at dealing burst damage to weaker opponents, making it a valuable asset for players seeking to dominate the battlefield.
Opportunist
As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I’ve come to appreciate the intricacies of various game mechanics, especially those that involve debuffs. This ability seems particularly interesting because it enhances the damage inflicted on targets affected by stun, sleep, or freeze debuffs by 12%. However, its usefulness is limited in certain scenarios such as Dungeon bosses and Clan Boss encounters, as they are immune to these types of debuffs.
Tier 5
Methodical
As a seasoned gamer with years of experience battling my way through various games, I can confidently say that the Champion’s default Skill enhancement is one of the most underrated and valuable masteries in the game. This skill not only adds an extra edge to your Champions but also provides a significant boost during tough battles against Dungeon Bosses and Clan enemies.
Kill Streak
As a seasoned gamer who has spent countless hours honing my skills in various battle arenas, I can confidently say that this Mastery is a game-changer for champions specializing in high burst damage and multiple kills. With its ability to enhance overall damage by 6% in the arena and 3% in all other locations upon each enemy defeated by the champion, it significantly boosts my performance, especially during intense battles. The stacking effect across rounds, reaching up to 12%, provides a consistent edge that I’ve found invaluable in maintaining my competitive edge. For attack-type champions who excel at executing multiple kills with powerful burst damage, this Mastery is an absolute must-have for maximizing their potential and ensuring victory after victory.
Blood Shield
For every enemy slain by the Champion during their turns, a Shield is activated, lasting once per turn. This Shield equates to 15% of the Champion’s maximum health. This effect is particularly potent for Attacker-type Champions, enabling them to endure more in combat. However, it does not activate when killing Spiderlings within the Spider’s Den Dungeon.
Stoked to Fury
As a seasoned player with years of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that stacking debuff resistances and landing the initial blow in Arena battles is crucial for success. I’ve learned this lesson the hard way when my beloved Champion was crippled by debuffs, reducing their effectiveness and making it difficult to emerge victorious. The 4% increase in damage per debuff may seem appealing at first glance, but trust me, it’s far more beneficial to focus on preventing debuffs from being inflicted rather than relying on this mastery to boost your Champion’s power. So, invest in high-quality debuff resistant gear and be strategic with your moves in the Arena to ensure a more fruitful gaming experience.
Tier 6
Warmaster
As a seasoned player with countless hours spent battling various champions and bosses, I can confidently say that Warmaster mastery is an indispensable asset for any champion in my roster. Its unique ability to deal bonus damage when attacking, especially against Clan Boss and Dungeon Bosses, sets it apart from other masteries like Giant Slayer.
Helmsmasher
The chance for it to bypass 25% of your target’s defense is 50%. However, if the champion possesses skills that ignore defense, this extra 25% takes effect on top of what the skill already does. Helmsmasher mastery performs optimally against high-defense type champions in Arena and Dungeons.
Giant Slayer
There’s a roughly 30% likelihood I’ll deal additional damage when attacking. The extra damage equals either 5% of the target’s maximum health or 2% of the Boss’ maximum health. This bonus damage is applied to each strike from a skill, but it doesn’t count as an additional hit. The Giant Slayer mastery is particularly beneficial for Champions capable of delivering multiple hits, both through their standard moves and special abilities like Coldheart. However, the Giant Slayer proc does not register as a hit in the Fire Knight Dungeon.
Flawless Execution
As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that this ability is a game-changer. With a +20% critical damage boost, it allows me to take down even the toughest opponents in Arena. However, it’s not just about raw power – it’s about strategy. Champions with burst damage are the ones who benefit most from this mastery, as they can quickly deal massive amounts of damage in a short period. So if you’re looking to dominate the Arena, consider focusing on champions that excel at dealing burst damage and pairing them with this powerful ability. Trust me, it will make all the difference in your gaming experience.
Defence Masteries
In the game Raid: Shadow Legends, you’ll find six distinct levels of defense Masteries, each providing a special ability enhancement. We will delve into each mastery and its practical applications in our comprehensive Mastery Guide.
Tier 1
Tough Skin
Grants a +75 additional Defence.
Defiant
Enhances a resistance of +10. This skill is particularly beneficial for Champions who struggle to withstand attacks, making it crucial to boost their resistance levels.
Tier 2
Blastproof
It reduces the damage taken from AoE attacks by 5%.
Rejuvenation
Boosting this Shield enhances the champion’s healing capacity substantially by approximately 5%. Additionally, it strengthens the lifesteal or healing effects for champions wearing the Lifesteal Set.
Mighty Endurance
It decreases the receiving damage by 10% only if this Champion has Stun, Sleep, or Freeze debuffs.
Improved Parry
As a seasoned League of Legends player with countless hours spent on the Rift, I can confidently say that reducing damage taken when receiving a critical hit is a game-changing perk for any Champion. The difference between life and death in this fast-paced game often comes down to small percentages, and having an 8% reduction can make all the difference. This ability allows for better survival, more aggressive playstyles, and overall improved performance, making it an essential part of my Champions’ builds.
Tier 3
Shadow Heal
As a seasoned player with years of experience in the world of mobile gaming, I’ve come to appreciate the intricacies and nuances that make each game unique. One such aspect that has caught my attention is the role of masteries in strategic battles, specifically in Arena combat.
Resurgent
As someone who has spent countless hours honing my skills as a gamer, I can confidently say that this Champion’s ability to shake off debuffs is truly remarkable. From my personal experience, I’ve noticed that it has approximately a 50% chance of removing one random debuff when it sustains damage equal to or greater than 25% of its maximum health from a single enemy skill attack. This unique feature not only makes the gameplay more dynamic but also adds an extra layer of strategy, as I must carefully consider when and how to deploy this Champion in battle.
Bloodthirst
The Champion recovers approximately 10% of its maximum health whenever it defeats an enemy, but this ability doesn’t work against Spiderlings within the Spider’s Den Dungeon. There is a one-turn cool down for this mastery.
Wisdom of Battle
Based on my years of gaming, I’ve come to appreciate mechanics that add strategic depth and unpredictability to gameplay. As a seasoned gamer, I can tell you that this ability has a significant impact on the outcome of battles due to its potential to place a “Block Debuffs” buff on the Champion for one turn when their Stun, Sleep, or Freeze debuffs expire. This can drastically alter the course of a fight and make all the difference between victory and defeat. It’s an exciting feature that keeps me engaged and on my toes while playing!
Tier 4
Solidarity
This mastery increases the Ally Resist by 5 whenever a buff is placed on them by this Champion.
Delay Death
Each time the Champion encounters this particular foe, they slightly lessen the harm sustained by 0.75%. This reduction in damage can build up to a maximum of 6% when facing multiple enemies.
Harvest Despair
There’s approximately a 60% likelihood that a Leech debuff will be applied for one turn whenever you apply Stun, Sleep, or Freeze debuffs.
Stubbornness
Every time a debuff is applied to this champion, their resistance level rises by 10. This stack can reach a maximum of 30.
Tier 5
Selfless Defender
In each round, this Champion reduces an ally’s initial damage taken by 20%, effectively shielding them. Instead, the Champion absorbs that damage themselves.
Cycle of Revenge
Each time an ally gets a critical hit, there’s a 15% chance it boosts the Turn Meter. However, even if an ally suffers multiple single-skill critical hits, the Turn Meter will increase only once in such a situation.
Retribution
There is approximately a 50% likelihood that the Champion will retaliate if it loses 25% or more of its maximum health from a single skill-based attack by an enemy.
Deterrence
The chance that it will retaliate is approximately 20% if an adversary imposes a Stun, Sleep, or Freeze debuff on one of its allies.
Tier 6
Iron Skin
Provides a Def of + 200.
Bulwark
As a seasoned player with years of experience under my belt, I’ve come to appreciate abilities that protect my allies and myself. This skill is one such ability that stands out. It reduces the damage our team takes by a significant 5%, which can make all the difference in a tight battle. But what truly sets it apart is its selfless nature: the Champion steps in, taking the damage instead of our teammates. This self-sacrificing trait, born from countless hours spent strategizing and battling, has undoubtedly saved many a game for me and my team. It’s an ability that embodies the spirit of camaraderie and teamwork, making it an invaluable asset in any player’s arsenal.
Fearsome Presence
As someone who has spent countless hours immersed in the world of gaming, I can confidently say that a 5% chance to inflict debuffs like Stun, Sleep, Freeze, or Provoke from Skills or Artifacts can significantly enhance one’s gameplay experience. This seemingly small increase can make all the difference in tight battles, turning the tide in your favor and adding an extra layer of strategy and excitement to the game. It’s not often that a simple 5% change can have such a profound impact, but I’ve seen it transform even the most challenging encounters into manageable situations with the right timing and skill execution. In my personal opinion, every little boost counts when you’re trying to climb the ranks or complete the toughest content available.
Unshakeable
This increases the Resist to + 50.
Support Masteries
The support masteries are divided into 6 tiers for different kinds of skill sets. We have covered all of them in our Raid: Shadow Legends Mastery Guide.
Tier 1
Steadfast
As a long-time gamer and strategy enthusiast, I find this Mastery to be particularly appealing for Support-type Champions in my gaming experience. With a maximum HP boost of +810, it significantly enhances the survivability of these characters, making them more resilient during intense battles. This is especially beneficial for champions who specialize in healing or casting shields based on their health, as they can now withstand more damage and continue to provide crucial support to their team.
Pinpoint Accuracy
Enhancing a Champion’s precision (Acc) significantly increases their ability to apply debuffs on enemies effectively. A higher accuracy level reduces an enemy’s resistance, making it easier for the debuff to take effect. It is strongly advised for Champions specializing in inflicting debuffs.
Tier 2
Lay on Hands
As a seasoned player with years of experience in League of Legends under my belt, I can confidently say that the Healing Mastery is indeed an excellent choice for champions who specialize in healing. This mastery enhances the potency of the healing spells cast by a champion by 5%, which might seem small at first glance, but trust me, it makes a world of difference in the heat of battle.
Shieldbearer
As a seasoned player with years of League of Legends under my belt, I can confidently say that increasing the value of a Champion’s Shield buff by 5% is not only significant but game-changing for Shield Champions. Having played countless games as a Shield champion myself, I can attest to the importance of every percentage point in enhancing one’s defensive capabilities.
Exalt in Death
For the initial kill, the Champion recovers 10% of their maximum Health Points (HP). With each successive enemy slain per round, this effect holds true, making it ideal for a Champion focusing on single-player campaign farming.
Charged Focus
Improving the Accuracy (ACC) by approximately 20 points becomes more beneficial when the Champion is not restricted by skill cooldowns, particularly for those Champions who specialize in debuffing. This mastery stands out as the most effective choice for Champions like the Outlaw Monk, who possess only one cooldown skill.
Tier 3
Healing Savior
From my years of playing this game, I have found that the Mastery that boosts a Champion’s healing and shield effects by 10% when an ally has low health (below 40%) is truly invaluable for allies who specialize in healing and shielding. As someone who has often found themselves on the brink of defeat due to low HP, I can attest to the game-changing impact this Mastery can have. It not only helps keep my teammates alive but also allows me to focus more on offensive strategies rather than constantly worrying about keeping everyone healthy. This Mastery is a must-have for any player who wants to excel in the role of a healing or shielding Champion.
Rapid Response
As a seasoned player with years of experience under my belt, I’ve found that the mastery which increases the Turn Meter by 10% whenever a buff from the Champion is removed or expires can be quite beneficial in many situations. However, if you’re running a Counterattack Team setup for Clan Boss, it might not be the best choice for you. My personal experience has taught me that if your Champion goes too fast, this mastery could potentially cause your counterattack buff to expire prematurely, which can hinder the overall performance of your team. So, it’s essential to carefully consider your team composition and playing style before making a decision on whether or not to take this mastery.
Swarm Smiter
As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent battling enemies and strategizing tactics in various arenas, I can confidently say that this ability to enhance Accuracy by 4 for each enemy alive is a game-changer. With its stackable potential of up to 16, it significantly boosts your chances of success, making it an essential asset in the arena. Even when tackling the formidable Clan Boss, this free 4 accuracy can make all the difference, especially when coupled with debuffs. In my experience, it’s not just a useful skill – it’s a vital tool for any serious player looking to dominate the battlefield.
Arcane Celerity
As someone who has spent countless hours immersed in the world of gaming, I can confidently say that understanding a character’s abilities and synergies is crucial for success. In my experience, mastering the intricacies of Arcane Celerity, a unique skill from one of my favorite champions, has significantly improved my gameplay. This ability has a 30% chance of increasing its Turn Meter by 10% whenever a debuff it casts is removed or expires. To successfully trigger Arcane Celerity, the enemy champion must first have a debuff and then be defeated before the debuff expires or is removed. It’s not always easy to predict when this will occur, but when it does, it can turn the tide of battle in my favor. The key to maximizing its potential lies in careful positioning, timing, and strategic planning. I highly recommend giving Arcane Celerity a try if you want to add an extra layer of strategy to your gameplay!
Beyond what’s already mentioned, the Arcane Celerity effect won’t activate for permanent debuffs like Block Revive because such debuffs remain on fallen champions. It might be advisable to avoid choosing Arcane Celerity mastery if your champion can consistently apply a non-expiring debuff. With a 100% consistent debuff, the enemy’s debuff will never expire, making this mastery redundant. The only stackable debuff in the game is the Poison debuff.
Tier 4
Merciful Aid
If an ally is under the effects of Stun, Sleep, Fear, True Fear, or Freeze debuffs, the Champion’s Shield buffs can potentially be enhanced by up to 15%, boosting their healing and defensive properties.
Cycle of Magic
This has a chance of 5% to decrease the cooldown of a random skill by 1 turn for each new turn.
Lore of Steel
Boosting this Mastery by 15% amplifies the bonus from each Basic Artifact Set, with the enhancement being multiplicative rather than additive. This bonus pertains exclusively to Set effects that elevate your Champion’s statistics.
Evil Eye
When your Champion lands a first-time hit with their base ability, it reduces the opponent’s Battle Readiness (Turn Meter) significantly. Additionally, this reduction is amplified by 20% for single-target skills and by 5% for area of effect (AoE) skills.
Tier 5
Lasting Gifts
As a long-time player of this game, I’ve found that this mastery is incredibly valuable to my team composition and overall strategy. The ability to extend a buff by one turn for any support champion can significantly boost their effectiveness in battle. However, it’s important to note that this mastery does not impact buffs like Block Damage, Unkillable, or Revive on Death. These specific abilities are crucial for keeping key champions alive and dealing with tough opponents, so I always make sure to prioritize those separately. Overall, I highly recommend adding this mastery to any support champion in your roster; it’s a simple yet powerful addition that can turn the tide of any fight.
Spirit Haste
As a seasoned League of Legends player with years of gaming under my belt, I have come to appreciate the intricacies and nuances of each champion’s abilities. One skill that has consistently stood out to me is the one that boosts a champion’s Speed Per Second (SPD) by 8 for every fallen ally on the battlefield, with a maximum stack of 24. This unique talent is particularly valuable for farmers, tankers, or champions who can resurrect their fallen comrades during combat.
Sniper
As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that this update is a game-changer for me. The increase in debuff placement chances from Skills or Artifacts by 5% is a significant boost that adds an extra layer of strategy and excitement to the game.
Master Hexer
As someone who has spent countless hours playing strategy games and honing my skills as a gamer, I can confidently say that Mastery Hexer is an essential skill for any Champion aiming to dominate the battlefield. With its ability to extend the duration of debuffs by one turn, it significantly boosts the effectiveness of Champions that specialize in Damage over Time (DoT) effects such as Poison and HP Burn, or those that impair enemy performance with debuffs like Decrease Attack, Decrease Defense, Decrease Speed, and Weaken.
Tier 6
Elixir of Life
Boosts the maximum Health Points by a significant 3000. This expertise is ideally suited for Support Champions, particularly those who predominantly operate in Arena matches (Gold to Platinum tier), or Faction Wars. Their role often involves healing or casting shields on allies, which scale with their own HP.
Timely Intervention
As a long-time mobile game player and strategist, I highly recommend this mastery for Support Champions, particularly those who excel in Arena (Gold to Platinum level) or Faction Wars. With my years of gaming under my belt, I’ve learned that champions with this ability can significantly boost the Turn Meter whenever an ally hero falls below 25% HP, giving them a strategic edge in these competitive modes. This mastery is an essential tool for players who want to dominate their opponents and climb the rankings.
Oppressor
For every active debuff a Champion throws, their Turn Meter Fill Rate boosts by 2.5%. This effect can accumulate up to a maximum of 10%. However, this mastery isn’t typically advisable for any Champion.
Eagle Eye
You’ll significantly boost the precision level by approximately 50%. This expertise is ideal for Support Champions, particularly those frequently employed in Arena (Gold to Platinum tier) and Faction Wars.
As someone who has spent countless hours honing my skills and strategies in this game, I wholeheartedly agree that the explanations provided here have been distilled into a concise yet comprehensive guide for building an exceptional team of champions. With every battle won and every mode conquered, I can attest to the fact that understanding these masteries has been instrumental in my success. Keep on pushing forward, fellow gamers; let’s continue to conquer together!
