Radio personality Wippa and his wife, Lisa, met Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at the Nexus Summit in Sydney on Wednesday, and were photographed with the couple.
The 46-year-old Nova presenter looked smart and put-together at the event, wearing a black blazer, light blue shirt, and black trousers as he stood with Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Prince Harry stuck to his classic, simple style, looking effortlessly modern in a sleek black shirt and pants for the event.
Both Meghan Markle and Lisa wore beautiful gowns and shared warm smiles while posing for official photos with the Sussexes at Wednesday’s event in Sydney.
I’ve been following Harry and Meghan’s trip to Australia closely, and it’s been wonderful to see them! They’ve been so busy attending all sorts of events – from supporting charities to meeting with business leaders and experiencing Australian culture. It’s great to see them shining a light on so many important things down there.
Wippa posted photos from the event online, sharing how honored he was to meet Prince Harry and Meghan. He described them as kind, warm, and genuine.
During a recent visit to Australia, Meghan asked people to simply call her ‘Meg,’ rather than using her royal title. This came during a time of some discussion about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s trip to the country.
Staff working with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were told the couple are comfortable with being called ‘Harry and Meghan’ – they prefer a relaxed and informal approach.
This happened while the couple faced criticism for allegedly exploiting their royal connections for financial gain in Australia, and shortly after Meghan corrected a friend on her Netflix cooking program for referring to her as ‘Markle’ instead of ‘Sussex’.
Harry and Meghan seemed delighted by the warm welcome and applause they received while visiting young cancer patients in Melbourne.
They spent almost 45 minutes chatting to children and their parents in the atrium and on a ward.
Meghan volunteered on her own, preparing and serving frittata at a women’s shelter. She accessorized with heart-shaped earrings, Princess Diana’s Cartier watch, and a Tiffany gold bracelet. Later, she and Harry joined forces for a crafting activity at the National Veterans Arts Museum.
When they arrived, Steve Cotterill, who was recently named Australia’s first poet laureate for veterans, asked them how he should refer to them.
Harry shrugged with a smile and said: ‘However you like’ before his wife said: ‘Call me Meg?’
The couple arrived from Los Angeles early Tuesday morning and have a busy week planned, with events for both charity and business taking place in Melbourne, Canberra, and Sydney.
We don’t know exactly how much Prince Harry and Meghan Markle earn from their commercial work, but reports suggest Meghan received around $250,000 for attending a beach retreat with friends.
Prince Harry and Meghan arrived in Melbourne on Tuesday, flying from Los Angeles in business class. They were happy to be visiting, but didn’t bring their children, Archie and Lilibet, on this trip.
