Punishing: Gray Raven is a free-to-play action RPG developed by Kuro Games and launched in 2021. It’s known for its stunning graphics and quick, engaging combat. The game is set in a bleak, futuristic world where a dangerous virus called The Punishing has devastated the cyborg population. A recent update, ‘A Better Tomorrow,’ is offering the Nirvatia S frame as a free reward. Here’s how to claim it.
Who is Nirvatia, and how to get her
Nirvatia is a powerful, top-tier character arriving in the ‘A Better Tomorrow’ update on March 17, 2026. She belongs to the Babylonia faction and is known as ‘Dirge.’ Nirvatia wields a scythe called ‘Obituary for Yesterday’ and specializes in disrupting opponents. She’s a great addition to dark-type teams. While she may not be one of the strongest characters currently, getting a free top-tier character is always a bonus.
With the new patch, Commandants can get the Nirvatia: Dirge story through a special mission in the Journal of Promise. Plus, you can claim free rewards like 50 Inver-Shard – Dirge, the 6-star weapon “Obituary for Yesterday”, and Morigan’s exclusive CUB set, all from the Service Shop. Keep in mind you’ll need to collect a lot of Service Certificates (the shop’s currency) to get everything.
The prices for the rewards in the Service Shop are
- 1 Inver-Shard – Dirge is 50 Service Certificates
- 6-star Weapon Obituary for Yesterday is 500 Service Certificates
- Her exclusive CUB Morigan Set is 300 Service Certificates
The new update and new missions to help you
Once the game is updated, new Limited-Time Service Missions will be available. The maximum number of Service Certificates you can earn will be increased to 5,600, and any certificates you already have will still be valid. You can also earn certificates by completing the new Weekly Service Missions.
With the new update, you’ll receive enough free Service Certificates to claim all the new items added in this version. Items for the Teddy: Spectre frame (which was previously available for free) will remain available in the Service Shop.
You can earn up to 1500 Service Certificates through limited-time missions. Each week, you can also earn an additional 500 if you haven’t reached the weekly limit. These weekly missions are always available, so you’ll consistently have a way to earn certificates. Plus, you can trade Dirge Shards for Nirvatia using vouchers.
Final Thoughts
She’s not top-tier, but getting a free S-rank Omniframe is a great deal, and I’m happy with that. Plus, I really like her design! If you happen to miss the limited missions, you can try to get her through the New Research Banner, but I’d suggest skipping it and just focusing on the events in the latest update instead.
