So, apparently Pump.fun, that fantastic Solana-based memecoin launchpad, has graced 5% of you lucky folks with a live-streaming comeback—five months after they hit the pause button because some people went and posted “harmful” stuff. Who knew that internet users could ever be… questionable? 🙄
Alon Cohen, the fearless co-founder of Pump.fun, just announced on X that they’re rolling out these “industry standard moderation systems,” complete with rules they claim are “transparent” (insert eye roll here). The new Livestream Moderation Policy is supposed to create this super safe environment—like a cozy blanket—where we can be all creative and engaged, but also not, you know, break any laws, harass people, or do sketchy stuff. Because apparently that’s frowned upon. 🤷♂️
They’ve even put in writing how you’ll be shown the door if you get too rowdy, talking about violence, sexual exploitation, or basically anything that might make a grandmother faint. But hey, they also mention they don’t want to be the universal judge of “appropriate.” So expect some cryptic, unilateral decisions if you manage to cross the line—and by line, I mean their line. One wrong move, 💥 gone. No livestream for you!
