Prime Video’s New 8-Part Series Based On A Book Officially Dethrones The Boys’ Final Season

Prime Video has secured a major hit for 2026 with a new series, just as one of their most popular shows nears its conclusion.

Prime Video, owned by Amazon, regularly adds new shows to its already extensive collection. And 2026 will be no different, with the streaming service already anticipating another popular series.

Even though season 5 of The Boys is almost finished, a different show is quickly becoming more popular on Prime Video. Off Campus, which launched on May 13th, has become a global hit in just two days, surpassing the superhero series in popularity on the streaming platform.

I’m so excited to see that the Off Campus show, based on Elle Kennedy’s books, is doing incredibly well on Prime Video! It’s currently the #1 show in a ton of countries – Portugal, Switzerland, Poland, Sweden, South Africa, Norway, Ireland, Hungary, Greece, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Belgium, and Argentina. Plus, it’s #2 in even more places like Austria, Brazil, Canada, Finland, Germany, Indonesia, Mexico, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, England, and even here in the United States! It’s amazing to see so many people enjoying it.

The romantic series is currently a top 3 hit on Prime Video in Colombia, Malaysia, and Turkey. Season one of Off Campus is also receiving very positive reviews, with a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and an 85% score on Popcornmeter.

The new series, Off Campus, features Ella Bright as Hannah Wells and Belmont Cameli as Garrett Graham. The cast also includes Stephen Thomas Kalyn, Mika Abdalla, Antonio Cipriano, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Josh Heuston, and Steve Howey. Louisa Levy created the show and is also its showrunner, working alongside Gina Fattore.

In a review for ScreenRant’s Off Campus, El highlighted the show’s strong cast chemistry, describing them as a hilarious and passionate ‘found family’ that viewers will quickly adore. El also commended the Prime Video series as a thoughtful and well-made adaptation, noting that it clearly demonstrated a genuine love for the source material – which is all romance fans could hope for.

Despite being a new release on Prime Video, the show Off Campus has already been renewed for additional seasons. That’s good news for fans who enjoyed the first season and are looking forward to continuing the romantic storyline.

Prime Video has renewed Off Campus for a second season, which will include new episodes. As of today, though, there’s no confirmed release date for the new season.

As a huge fan of Off Campus, I’m still waiting for news on season two! There’s no official word yet on when production will begin, but given how popular the first season was, I’m hopeful we’ll get some updates later in 2026. I’m keeping my fingers crossed!

Off Campus season 1 is now streaming on Prime Video, with season 2 currently in development.
