A new documentary about singer Lily Allen is coming to Prime Video.
A new documentary will tell the story of the singer’s life and career, beginning with her childhood and continuing through to the huge popularity of her recent album, West End Girl.
This documentary tells the story of Lily’s incredible career. It shows how she went from being a sensation on MySpace – and shaking up the music world – to becoming a major cultural figure. As one of the first women to truly break through in modern music, Lily’s honest lyrics and quick wit inspired many of today’s leading female artists.
The new documentary is directed by Mat Whitecross, the acclaimed filmmaker behind the 2016 hit Oasis: Supersonic. It features interviews with people close to Lily and aims to provide an insightful look at the artist, known for her bold and innovative creativity.
The story follows Lily Allen as she rebuilds her life and career, taking control of her own story. It’s a side of the artist audiences haven’t seen before – honest, vulnerable, and showing what it truly means to succeed while under public scrutiny.
Lily Allen has had an incredible year! She kicked things off with her first tour in seven years, West End Girl, where she played her newest album from start to finish. The tour began in theatres and later expanded to include stadium shows. Earlier in the year, she also headlined the Mighty Hoopla festival in London, and surprised the crowd by bringing out JADE to perform a remix of her song, ‘Beg for Me’.
