A popular streaming show is gaining even more attention as Season 2 nears its end. Only three episodes remain in the thrilling series, which follows a group of people trying to survive after a global disaster. Both viewers and critics have given the second season rave reviews, with many believing it’s an improvement over the first.
Scheduled to debut in 2025 with a stellar cast including Sterling K. Brown, Julianne Nicholson, and James Marsden, the series Paradise immediately captivated audiences with a shocking twist in its first episode. The show centers on Secret Service agent Xavier Collins (Brown) as he investigates the death of the President (Marsden). However, the entire story unfolds within a meticulously crafted underground bunker—a replica of the outside world, which has been devastated by a massive volcanic eruption in Antarctica.
Season 2 continues the story right after the first season ended, with Collins venturing out of the bunker to find his wife, Teri, who everyone believed was gone. A plane crash kicks off a series of events and introduces viewers to a new group of survivors who have been battling to stay alive. This season of Paradise is larger in scale and explores the mystery surrounding Teri’s disappearance, while also uncovering the origins of the bunker itself.
‘Paradise’ Season 2 Is a Hit on Streaming
Season 2 of Paradise, which premiered on February 23rd, is receiving even better reviews than its first season. Critics praise the stronger writing, improved pacing, and the show’s expanded world – now that the story ventures beyond the bunker. While Season 1 earned an 86% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, Season 2 currently boasts a 91% score, demonstrating a clear success and avoiding the typical ‘second season slump’.
The show Paradise has become a hit, reaching the number one spot on Disney+’s global Top 10 list and staying there for five weeks. It was eventually overtaken by the series Love Story. Currently, Paradise is the fourth most popular show on Hulu, and we anticipate it will climb even higher as the season comes to a close with each new episode.
Will There Be a Season 3 of ‘Paradise’?

Hulu
Although Disney hasn’t officially confirmed it yet, a third season of Paradise is likely to happen. The show’s creator, Dan Fogelman, always intended for it to have a relatively short run.
In a 2025 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the creator explained that they have a detailed three-year plan for the show. The upcoming second season is designed as the central part of a three-season arc, with its own complete story, but also contributes to a larger, overarching narrative. They envision the show evolving and exploring multiple genres over its run.
Don’t miss the season finale of Paradise Season 2 on March 30th! If you’re behind, you can stream all previous episodes now on Hulu and Disney+.
