I’m so excited about Palkia joining Pokémon Unite! It’s the newest All-Rounder, and honestly, it’s a powerhouse. It deals a ton of damage up close with its attacks and moves, making it super effective at quickly taking down opponents. I’ve put together a guide covering everything you need to know about Palkia – its abilities, the best items to build, and how to fit it into a winning team.

Pokémon Unite Palkia Movesets
Basic Attack
After a short wait, your Pokémon’s next attack changes based on who it’s attacking. If it’s attacking a wild Pokémon, the attack will do more damage. If it’s attacking an opponent’s Pokémon, the attack becomes stronger and also prevents that Pokémon from acting on its next turn.
Passive Ability – Pressure
When Palkia attacks, it builds up pressure with each hit, up to a maximum of three times. Palkia can then unleash this stored pressure with its next attack, dealing extra damage to the opponent and healing itself.
Ability 1 – Aqua Ring
As a Palkia fan, I’ve always been amazed by its ability to create this awesome water ring around itself! It doesn’t just look cool, it actually hurts any Pokémon nearby, and then Palkia starts healing itself for a little while – it’s a fantastic move!
Ability Choice at Level 5
At Level 5, Palkia will be able to use the following ability:
Aura Sphere
Palkia sends out a wave of energy that damages opponents and leaves a temporary mark on them. If an opponent with this mark is hit again, it takes extra damage, and Palkia recovers some health.
Upgrade: It also applies a slowing effect when it hits.
Ability 2 – Slash
Palkia quickly moves forward and attacks with its claws, damaging any opposing Pokémon it comes into contact with.
Ability Choice at Level 7
At Level 7, Palkia will be able to use the following ability:
Dragon Claw
Palkia warps to a location using its ability to manipulate space, then attacks with powerful claw slashes. It can repeat this attack multiple times. Each slash does more damage the less health the opponent has left.
This move boosts Palkia’s Defense and Special Defense stats. The more Pokémon it hits with its first attack (maximum of three), the bigger the boost.
Unite Move – Multi- Dimensional Mend
Palkia vanishes into a tear in space. If the move is used again, Palkia returns to the chosen location and attacks with three powerful, layered slashes that damage both the opponent and the surrounding space.
Palkia’s powerful Unite Move becomes stronger the more damage it deals in battle. It will slash at opponents multiple times – up to seven! – and if it lands all seven slashes, Palkia immediately resets the cooldowns on all of its other moves.

Pokémon Unite Palkia Gameplay Guide and Tips
This guide will explain how to play Palkia effectively in Pokémon Unite and create a winning strategy. We’ll cover both the early and late stages of the game, so be sure to read the entire guide.
Early Game
When playing Palkia, it’s best to lane in the jungle or top lane. Try to start in the jungle whenever you can to quickly reach level 5. Palkia’s Aqua Ring helps you stay healthy while taking on wild Pokémon, and Slash allows you to move between camps quickly. Before you unlock Palkia’s stronger abilities, avoid taking unnecessary fights or pushing too far into enemy territory.
Work with your teammates to quickly take down opponents who push too far forward, using your stronger basic attacks and abilities. Consistently attacking with both will build up your passive ability, which increases your damage and helps you stay in the fight longer. Focus on hitting enemy Pokémon with these enhanced attacks whenever possible.
Mid and Late Game
Once you reach Level 5, Aqua Ring evolves into Aura Sphere, and at Level 7, Slash becomes Dragon Claw – these two attacks form the basis of a powerful combo. To maximize damage, first mark your target with Aura Sphere, then follow up with Dragon Claw. Remember to consistently use your abilities to build up your passive ability, which will then enhance your next attack.
In the late game, Palkia is a powerful teamfighter, becoming even more dangerous once its Unite move is ready. To maximize its damage, focus on building up Pressure before using Multi-Dimensional Mend. This allows Palkia to perform more slashes, significantly boosting its attack power and overall effectiveness in team fights.
Because it offers a bit of stealth, focus on using your Unite move to quickly take out the opposing team’s main attackers first. If you land the maximum number of hits with your attack, use the resulting cooldown reduction to keep up the pressure and capture objectives. Don’t forget that timing Palkia’s Dragon Claw just right can help you avoid enemy Unite moves as well.
Positioning of Palkia
Palkia works best in the top lane or as a jungler. These positions let you quickly gain resources and move between lanes to support your teammates.
