Pokémon Unite Meganium’s Movesets
Basic Attack
Meganium whips its vines or headbutt, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon.
Passive – Overgrow
This Pokémon restores more HP to allies when their health is low. It evolves in stages: first from Chikorita (levels 1-4) to Bayleef (levels 5-6), and finally into Meganium at level 7.
Ability 1 – Magical Leaf
Meganium scatters curious leaves, dealing damage and applying a slowing effect to opposing Pokémon.
Ability Choice at Level 5
At Level 5, Meganium will be able to use the following ability:
Grass Knot
Meganium attacks with its vines, damaging opponents and preventing them from moving. If the attack fully blooms, Meganium’s vines become even stronger.
When this attack lands, vines will wrap around the target Pokémon and quickly spread to nearby opponents, immobilizing them for a short time.
Upgrade at Level 11: Reduces this move’s cooldown. (6 seconds)
Ability 2 – Synthesis
Meganium uses photosynthesis to create energy around itself and nearby Pokémon, healing allies in the area. For a brief period, it also reduces the damage dealt by opposing Pokémon within the same area.
Ability Choice at Level 7
At Level 7, Meganium will be able to use the following ability:
Petal Blizzard
Meganium creates a powerful blizzard of petals that damages and slows down enemy Pokémon. At the same time, it heals any allied Pokémon caught in the storm.
Pokémon near Meganium will have their HP restored when this move is used. As the move reaches full bloom, the blizzard’s range expands, and the petals linger in the area for a certain duration.
Upgrade at level 13: Increases the amount of HP this move restores.
Unite Move – Full Bloom Aroma
Meganium releases a pleasant scent from the flowers on its neck, which harms opposing Pokémon. This fragrance also has a calming effect, reducing the damage inflicted by nearby opponents.
Okay, so when I use my special ability, it leaves this awesome scent that gives my next move a serious power-up – basically, it’s like a super bloom! Plus, whenever I hit an enemy Pokémon, my Unite move charges up way faster. The downside? This scent actually calms me down a bit, which means I deal a little less damage. It’s a trade-off, but the boosted moves and faster Unite charge are definitely worth it, in my opinion!

Pokémon Unite Meganium Gameplay Tips
This guide will teach you how to play Meganium effectively in Pokémon Unite and create a winning strategy. We’ll cover both the early and late stages of the game, so be sure to read through everything to get the most out of it.
Early Game
When playing Meganium, the best lane to choose is Top or Bottom. Early in the game, concentrate on earning experience and helping your lane partner. Use Magical Leaf to damage and slow down opponents, which will help you control the lane. Stick with your teammate and don’t venture too far ahead, because Meganium is better at supporting than taking a lot of damage.
Once you reach Level 3, unlock and use Synthesis to keep yourself and your teammates healthy. This gives your team an edge in early battles and lets you push harder against opponents. Also, since Meganium’s second ability lowers the damage enemies take while they’re inside the healing area, use it during close-range fights.
This ability both shields you and your teammates while also restoring their health. Concentrate on gathering resources, scoring points, helping your allies, and gaining experience to become more powerful. Meganium truly shines once it unlocks its crowd control and enhanced support skills, becoming a much more valuable asset to the team.
Mid and Late Game
When Bayleef reaches Level 5, its Magical Leaf attack evolves into Grass Knot, and at Level 7, Synthesis becomes Petal Blizzard – these two moves form its main strategy. This strategy is all about controlling the battle and staying healthy. Grass Knot is particularly effective against groups of opponents, as its vines can trap and slow them down.
Next, use Petal Blizzard to damage enemies, slow them down, and heal your teammates. This combination works especially well when fighting groups, helping your team survive while keeping your opponents under control. Make sure to stay near the center of battles so you can effectively heal and weaken enemies.
Meganium’s Unite Move is most effective when used during team battles. It lowers the amount of damage your opponents can inflict and simultaneously powers up your next attack, making your abilities hit harder. This helps your team stay alive longer, weakens enemies, and gives you a better chance of winning fights over important objectives like Goal Zones, Groudon, and Regieleki.
Positioning of Meganium
Meganium performs best in either the Top or Bottom Lane, allowing for efficient resource gathering and the ability to move between lanes to help teammates.
Meganium with other Pokémon
Our Pokémon Unite Meganium guide also includes synergies between Meganium and other Pokémon.
Best synergies with Meganium
As a Meganium fan, I’ve found it really shines when I team it up with Pokémon that are all about offense and speed. Meganium’s support abilities and staying power are a huge help, letting those faster, stronger teammates really do their thing and win tough battles.
| Pokémon | Benefits |
|---|---|
| Greninja | Meganium can easily support Greninja’s aggressive playstyle with its healing and sustain buffs. |
| Cinderace | Meganium can provide heal and buffs making it harder for enemy speedsters to takedown Cinderace. |
| Feraligatr | Meganium’s healing and damage reduction perks makes Feraligatr much harder to take down. |
Pokémon that are strong and weak against Meganium
| Pokémon that Meganium counters | Pokémon that counter Meganium |
|---|---|
| Zeraora | Delphox |
| Machamp | Cinderace |
| Eldengoss | Glaceon |
| Trevenant | Snorlax |
| Mamoswine | Slowbro |
