It’s amazing to think the PlayStation 5 will be six years old this year! Considering the PlayStation 4 was released back in 2013, it feels like time is flying.
The PlayStation 5 has built up a large library of games, whether you have PlayStation Plus or not. This week, there are four games on the PlayStation Store that you should download quickly before they’re no longer available.
PlayStation Plus Loses These Games Tomorrow (April 7)
Act Fast
As of April 7, PlayStation Plus users will lose access to picking up four games for free:
- PGA Tour 2K25
- Slime Rancher 2
- Monster Hunter Rise
- The Elder Scrolls Online Collection: Gold Road.
Each of these games is worth checking out, but Monster Hunter Rise really stands out. It’s an excellent starting point for newcomers to the series (besides Monster Hunter World) and offers a huge amount of content even without the downloadable expansions. It’s become one of my favorite Monster Hunter games, and a lot of fans actually prefer it to the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds.
Slime Rancher 2 is a charming and upbeat game where you raise slimes and explore the mysteries of Rainbow Island. Meanwhile, The Elder Scrolls Online is offering a special package – even though it’s already free to play! This release includes the newest chapter, Gold Road.
PlayStation Plus members can add these games to their account in just about 30 seconds! Simply visit the PlayStation Network homepage, or go directly to PlayStation Plus on your PS5, to claim them. It’s a good idea to grab them even if you don’t plan to play right away – they’ll be there whenever you’re ready. And some of these games even work with the PlayStation Portal!
What’s New With PlayStation Plus?
April Has Turned Some Heads
Just a heads-up for anyone interested – these games are only sticking around for 24 hours! It’s all because PlayStation Plus is getting a refresh with its new April games. And here’s the exciting part – this is what’s coming next month!
- Lords of the Fallen
- Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered
- Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream
Honestly, this month’s PlayStation Plus games are a bit of a mixed bag. Lords of the Fallen (the new one) is getting some pretty divided opinions, and while the classic Tomb Raider games are cool, they’re not for everyone. Plus, Sword Art Online is awesome if you’re into that anime style, but I can see some players not really getting it.
Even if you’re not thrilled with the PlayStation Plus games for April, don’t forget to download the four games that were available in March. Many people think those games are actually better, and you definitely won’t want to miss Monster Hunter Rise, especially if you’re interested in trying out that series.
