On Wednesday, Ronnie, who bears a striking resemblance to footballer Phil Foden, enthusiastically expressed his admiration for his Manchester City dad on his Instagram page.

On a thrilling Tuesday night, I was beyond fortunate to grace the red carpet at the PFA Awards alongside my shining stars – my glamorous momma Rebecca Cooke and my football hero dad, Phil. And guess who else made it five? That’s right, our rising star, our pride, and joy!

On Ronnie’s Instagram, which has a massive following of 4.6 million people (managed by his parents), they shared delightful photos after the glamorous award ceremony.

The caption read: ‘A night to remember✨’

During the Euros 2024, Ronnie was born as the oldest child to Phil and his companion Rebecca, who together also have a two-year-old daughter named True.

As an enthusiastic soccer devotee, I’ve managed to captivate numerous admirers on Instagram through my collection of soccer-themed snaps.

At the PFA Awards, Rebecca caught Ronnie grooving to tunes throughout the event, followed by seeing his dad being named PFA Men’s Players’ Player of the Year.

On Ronnie’s Instagram, you’ll find a mix of photos: some show him playing football alongside his well-known dad, while others feature him solo, striking poses in fashionable attire.

As an ardent follower, I can’t help but marvel at the verified Instagram account belonging to none other than the iconic Ronnie! It’s filled with captivating snaps of him, flaunting a variety of brands tagged alongside. Among them are the ethical fashion pioneers, Little Bird, and the chic Manchester-based boutique, The Couture Club. Simply put, it’s a visual feast for any fan like myself!

After a popular meme of their child, known as ‘El Wey’ or ‘The Dude’, spread due to Manchester City’s victory over Inter Milan in the Champions League final held in Istanbul last June, Ronnie’s family established the account.

Through adorable images of him on the field with his father and a selfie in the locker room with Erling Haaland, he earned an informal role as the team’s beloved mascot.

Previously this year, Ronnie left fans in stitches with his amusing antics following Manchester City’s triumphant claim of their fourth Championship title in the Premier League.

In the thrilling aftermath of Manchester City’s 3-1 win against West Ham at the Etihad Stadium, Ronnie was seen, fortunately unsuccessfully, attempting to open a bottle of champagne right on the field.

The youngster peered intently as he knelt beside a soccer ball, dressed in Manchester City’s jersey, and attempted to open the bottle.

Phil became a dad for the first time at the age of 18, when he and Rebecca welcomed son Ronnie. 

Referring to that memorable instance on Manchester City’s site, he remarked: “I witnessed its arrival. I stepped away, shed a momentary tear, and then returned as if nothing out of the ordinary had taken place.”

I’ve always been someone who prefers privacy when it comes to emotional moments. Solitude has always provided me with a sense of comfort and clarity that I find hard to come by in crowded spaces. But there are exceptions, and this particular incident was one of them. I found myself in the room as the event unfolded, and it was an extraordinary experience that I will never forget. The atmosphere was thick with emotion, yet there was a sense of peace and unity that transcended the usual chaos of life. It’s moments like these that remind me of the power of human connection and the beauty in vulnerability.
