Pamela Anderson admits she's on a 'glorious and imperfect new path' after 'finding a fresh slate' as she accepts Glamour Impact Award

As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I must say that Pamela Anderson’s journey is nothing short of inspiring. At 57, she continues to break barriers and defy expectations, proving that age is truly just a number. Her fresh-faced complexion on the red carpet is a testament to her resilience and determination.

Pamela Anderson shared that she is now embarking on an inspiring yet flawed journey, having received the prestigious Glamour Impact Award on Tuesday.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d put it this way: Over the last few years, I’ve discovered a renewed zest for my craft – acting – and it has provided me with a fresh start. This revelation came to light during a lavish event at Raffles in London, where I graciously accepted an honor.

Following her appearance with a radiant countenance at the red carpet event, Pamela enthusiastically expressed that securing her part in The Last Showgirl had, at last, allowed her to discard the lingering remnants of her long-held aspirations as an actress – much like shaking off cobwebs.

In the movie, she plays an experienced entertainer who is compelled to reassess her life, following the sudden closure of her Las Vegas performance after three decades on stage.

She said: ‘I pray people are provoked by the film, and resonate with it but also the character of Shelley, she’s doing the best she can even though it’s never quite enough, which is how so many of us feel.

‘This role helped me shake off the cobwebs of a dream I’d almost forgotten, to be an actress.

In this film, it was a delightful experience as we supported one another, fostering a bond reminiscent of sisterhood – a dynamic that, throughout much of my professional journey, I hadn’t often encountered among women due to the competitiveness and unkindness that seemed prevalent.

From this spot, I can confidently say that our experience is significantly enhanced when we show love and offer support to one another. A heartfelt thanks to our entire cast and crew for making this possible.

Pamela acknowledged and praised her sons, Brandon (age 28) and Dylan (age 26), as individuals with remarkable strength, resilience, and dedication, who never fail to appreciate the value of their efforts.

In the course of portraying my character in The Last Showgirl, a veil was lifted, revealing a whole new world. Let me share with you, I am finding myself embracing this change. Experiencing the sensation of being understood and appreciated is both novel and intriguing.

Experiencing an exhilarating mix of awe, joy, and curiosity, I find myself immersed in the enigma of the unknown future. This uncertainty only adds to the thrill for me. Above all, it’s incredibly enjoyable!

Only a few are fortunate enough to be in this place at all, and even fewer receive a second chance. I intend to seize and make full use of this opportunity.

As a survivor who endured sexual violence, I’ve come to recognize the repetitive cycle I found myself in and the means by which I was striving for control in my unique fashion.

Additionally, I am aware that healing requires great resilience, and I am deeply grateful to those who have stood by me throughout this journey.

Over the past several years, I’ve experienced a rejuvenating transformation, stepping onto an exciting yet flawed journey that’s all mine. Though my past has left its mark, it no longer dictates who I am or what I become. Instead, I choose to write my own story, unfolding chapter by imperfect chapter.

I’d like to dedicate this honor to all the women out there, who persevere through difficult journeys and discover the strength to become their finest selves. May blessings come your way, and thank you.

After Pamela confessed that remaining unmarried had been challenging for her, following her experience of six unsuccessful marriages to five different men.

Pamela has been married multiple times, including to rock star Tommy Lee, rapper Kid Rock, twice to poker player Rick Salomon, for a short period to Batman co-producer Jon Peters, and most recently to her former bodyguard Dan Hayhurst.

Speaking openly about her private affairs, she shared with the press: ‘The past few years have been about making an effort to be on my own, discovering what brings me joy, what I enjoy, and what I aspire to achieve.’

When asked about her preference for ‘rough’ companions, Pamela clarified: “It wasn’t that I pursued ‘troublesome’ guys. Instead, they were the ones who sought me out!

The actress expressed her changed perspective on life: “I am significantly more content these days. A decade ago, I felt like a disappointment. It might have been the past two decades that brought about this shift.

During the event, Naomie Harris, a friend and fellow actor, presented Jodie Turner-Smith with the Trailblazer trophy at another point in the proceedings, with Harris being 48 years old.

As a die-hard admirer, I can’t help but exclaim with sheer excitement that I’ve got some fantastic news to share! The remarkable Keely Hodgkinson has been honored as this year’s Sporting Hero, while Cally Jane Beech, once a beloved Islander, has been crowned Activist of the Year! What an inspiring duo, don’t you agree?

The coveted Glamour Impact Award was given to former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson, while host Katherine Ryan also accepted the prize for Feminist Hero.

Chloe Bailey received the “Musician Trophy,” while Jameela Jamil was honored with the “Game-Changer Voice” award.

Each year, the prestigious GLAMOUR Women of the Year Awards are held again to honor some of the most prominent figures in music, television, cinema, and sports.

The event, co-sponsored by both Samsung and the latest Galaxy Ring, celebrates and acknowledges the pioneering activists and trailblazers who are championing women’s equality movement.

Past winners have included Kim Cattrall, Naomi Campbell and Victoria Beckham.
