Oscar Isaac has left the upcoming vampire thriller Flesh of the Gods, directed by Panos Cosmatos, who also directed Mandy. He was originally going to play the lead role alongside Kristen Stewart, and they were set to portray a married couple named Raoul and Alex living in 1980s Los Angeles.
Wagner Moura will now star alongside Stewart in the film, replacing Oscar Isaac, who had to leave due to scheduling issues, according to Deadline.
The film, written by Andrew Kevin Walker, is based on a story he co-wrote with Cosmatos. Adam McKay and Betsy Koch of Hyperobject Industries, along with Gena Konstantinakos and Isaac of Mad Gene Media, served as producers.
According to the official description, Raoul and Alex leave their fancy high-rise apartment every night to enter a vibrant and exciting world after dark.
Raoul and Alex meet a captivating and mysterious woman named Nameless and her group of friends who love to party. They’re quickly drawn into a dazzling, strange world filled with pleasure, excitement, and danger.

What to Read Next
I remember reading back in May 2025 that Elizabeth Olsen was going to be playing a character called Nameless in this game, which I was super excited about! But I just checked the latest news, and they don’t mention her at all. Now I’m not sure if she’s still involved, and honestly, it’s a little worrying.
Producer McKay recently told Deadline that the movie features a fantastic director, writer, and cast, combined with a unique vibe of 80s punk and a vampire twist. He says that’s exactly what they’re delivering with this film.

We believe this project beautifully blends commercial appeal with artistic vision. We aim to create a film that has a broad cultural impact, influencing everything from fashion and music to the world of cinema. I truly can’t contain my enthusiasm!
According to Cosmatos, Flesh Of The Gods mirrors Los Angeles in its blend of dreamlike fantasy and disturbing nightmare. The film is both fast-paced and captivating, offering a thrilling and intense journey into a dark and glamorous underworld.
The latest issue of Living Legends, a vibrant 100-page tribute to Harry Styles, is now available! You can find it at newsstands or purchase it online.
