Despite recently separating from her husband, Bradley Dack, Olivia Attwood says she doesn’t have any regrets about the relationships she’s been in.
Oh my god, I was devastated when I heard about her and the footballer! They were together for three years, you know? And then, out of nowhere, it was over in January. Apparently, he did something to really break her heart – people were saying he seriously messed up and betrayed her trust. I just feel so bad for her; she deserves so much better!
In a recent interview, Olivia shared that even though she’s been through a difficult breakup, she still believes love is one of the most special and genuine things people can experience.
The presenter expressed a desire to find love again and said she’s looking for someone she can be completely captivated by.
She shared that she’s a firm believer in love and, looking back on all her relationships, she’s never regretted taking a chance on it.
That’s a truly special and genuine human experience. Even if it’s with someone you wouldn’t normally associate with, you still feel a connection in that moment.
Olivia shared with Attitude Magazine that the experience was incredibly invigorating, a moment where she felt truly alive. She jokingly added that her therapist would likely disapprove of her saying so.
I’m looking for someone intensely passionate – the complete opposite of indifference. I want someone to be completely head-over-heels, to really go all-in from the start. Think grand gestures and immediate, overwhelming affection – I want to feel something strong.
I’ve been so impressed with Olivia since her breakup with Bradley last month – she’s really thrown herself into her work! I’m especially excited because her new show, ‘The Heat,’ a cooking reality competition, starts on ITV2 this Tuesday. I can’t wait to watch!
The actress admitted she’s been struggling to cope at work following her recent divorce after three years of marriage, and has been forcing herself to push through each day.
During a recent question-and-answer session with her social media followers, she explained that she’s dedicated too much time and effort to her career to allow it to be negatively impacted.
‘Been a lot of slapping myself round the face and gritting my teeth.’
In addition to her successful podcast, Olivia’s House, and her radio show on KISS FM with Pete Wicks, Attwood is still working on the next season of her documentary, Getting Filthy Rich, and is excited to announce a new partnership with Garnier.
She’s been on daytime TV several times, including as a guest on the talk show Loose Women and filling in as a host on the popular program This Morning.
The documentary series ‘The Price Of Perfection’ will also be back on ITV. Additionally, Maya Attwood will host ITV’s new reality show, ‘The Heat,’ with well-known chef Jean Christophe Novelli.
She announced her split from Gillingham midfielder Dack in January via Instagram, admitting she was struggling with how to talk about it publicly. She joked that being vulnerable, especially on social media, felt risky and exposed, like ‘bleeding in shark infested waters,’ and suggested she’d deal with it privately.
For a long time now, I’ve been going through a cycle of crying myself to sleep, only to wake up at 5am and pretend everything is okay. It’s a routine that’s been repeating for a while.
Things have been changing so quickly lately, which really bothers me. I honestly didn’t think I’d end up living in this apartment by myself, and I’m definitely feeling overwhelmed right now.
I’m hoping for happiness, for both myself and Brad, taking things one day at a time. And if anyone else out there needs to hear it, that’s what I’m aiming for too.
She said they’d be back to regular posts and conversations as soon as possible, and expressed her gratitude for all the support she’s received.
They first connected in 2015 at a nightclub. At the time, Attwood was working as a promotional model, and Dack was a rising star in football, having recently been recognized as Gillingham FC’s Young Player of the Season.
Attwood is worth around £6 million, while Bradley’s net worth is approximately £5 million. Some sources suggest this financial difference may have played a role in their breakup.
When they first started dating, he was the primary breadwinner due to his career as a footballer, but now she’s financially independent.
‘She doesn’t need him at all anymore, she can be totally independent.’
When he was at his best, Dack reportedly earned £18,000 per week while playing for Blackburn. However, after moving back to Gillingham last year, his weekly salary is now around £3,500, according to Salary Sport.
Attwood reportedly made £350,000 per series for her work with ITV, including shows like Getting Filthy Rich, The Price Of Perfection, and Bad Boyfriends.
In addition to her other ventures, she’s partnered with Abbott Lyon jewellery for a £250,000 campaign and has a lucrative deal with Maybelline makeup, worth a significant six-figure sum.
Just last year, Attwood spoke of the importance of being financially independent.
‘I think it’s really important to keep your own finances and your own bank account,’ she said.
Combining finances with your partner isn’t necessary, in my opinion. It’s an approach that feels quite old-fashioned.
