October 31 Patch Notes: NIKKE 2nd Anniversary Update is fire
As a long-time NIKKE enthusiast who has been following the game since its inception, I am utterly thrilled at the prospect of the upcoming 2nd Anniversary Update! The announcement of Rapunzel: Pure Grace, a free NIKKE, has me all aflutter like a bird on the wing. But it’s not just the new characters that have my heart racing – it’s the dazzling array of new costumes that are making my wallet weep!
On October 31st, I can’t help but get excited for the fantastic update that NIKKE has in store for its 2nd Anniversary! Three brand-new NIKKE characters are being introduced, along with an enticing new Story Event and some stunning costumes. All the details you need are right here!
It’s exciting news for commanders! The game, Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, is commemorating its second anniversary with a significant update arriving on October 31st.
On Halloween, October 31st, we’re rolling out an update that includes the debut of three fresh NIKKE characters! One of these characters will be available for free to all players. Additionally, this update brings a brand-new Story Event, some exciting Mini-Games, and a selection of new Skins for customization.

On Halloween, October 31st, we’ll be releasing our anniversary update! This exciting event features a vast array of rewards, with a grand total of 200 chances to win across the entire 2-year celebration.

Story Event: Tales of Old
For the 2nd anniversary celebration, we have an exciting new storyline titled “Tales of Yore.” This narrative brings to life the second generation of Grimm models, a group that was hinted at during our Red Ash event back in November 2023.
During their 2nd Anniversary livestream, developers Shift Up stated that similar to the Goddess Squad, these NIKKE characters were developed a while ago. However, they have been designed with superior specifications that outperform the initial Grimms models.
As a gamer, I’m eagerly anticipating the next gen of the Goddess Squad games. Instead of just focusing on grandiose heroics and heart-wrenching tragedies, they’re planning to delve deeper into the human qualities of our characters this time around. Can’t wait to see how this new approach unfolds!
Old Tales Squad members in Goddess of Victory: NIKKE
During the upcoming Story Event, a fresh group named “Old Tales” will make their debut. This team consists of five unique characters, one of whom is Cinderella, who has been prominently featured as the poster girl for our 2nd Anniversary update.

In addition to timeless stories, “Old Tales” features characters who seem to be identical twins, Hansel and Gretel, whose attire in the promotional artwork required a touch-up due to its revealing nature. Among the five personalities of “Old Tales,” only Cinderella will be eligible for recruitment during this update.

Cinderella (new SSR Burst III NIKKE)

Cinderella, also recognized as Anachiro, is a level 3 Rocket Launcher character named NIKKE. Her special ability centers around the iconic glass slippers she dons, hinted at in the teaser for the Story Event.
Instead of relying on her glass slippers for deception, Cinderella employs them as a means to bolster herself and gain advantages. Her powerful Burst Skill (Glos Slippers. Full Contact) empowers her to leverage the buffs derived from her glass slippers to inflict substantial harm upon her adversaries.
Grave (new SSR Burst II NIKKE)

- Weapon: Assault Rifle
- Code: Fire
In simpler terms, Grave is a character from NIKKE who enhances her own piercing attacks and those of her teammates during battle when she activates her Burst Skill II. During this skill activation, Grave unleashes strong piercing attacks and bolsters her allies. Additionally, she applies a buff when her Burst Skill concludes.
The recruitment for the new Grave character will start on November 7, exactly a week following the release of the 2nd Anniversary NIKKE Update on October 31.
Rapunzel: Pure Grace (new SSR Burst I NIKKE)

As a gamer, I’ve got this fantastic character in my game arsenal – Pure Grace from Defender NIKKE. Her Burst Skill, Garden of Utopia, sets up a robust protective barrier for my teammates. When I keep my charge level maxed, not only does she reinforce the shield, but she also boosts our attack power! It’s like having an extra layer of defense and a power-up all in one!
Rapunzel announces that the character Pure Grace will be a complimentary addition to the game NIKKE, arriving with the 2nd Anniversary Update set for release on October 31st.
New Costumes
Beyond the debut of three fresh NIKKE designs, you’ll find an additional four exquisite outfits as well. These costumes are so high-quality that they might just make a dent in any devoted fan’s budget. Notably, all of these ensembles resemble anniversary dinner party dresses, reminiscent of those previously launched for the 1 Year and 1.5 Year Anniversaries, set for 2023.

New Boss – Behemoth
On October 31st, the NIKKE update brings a fresh Boss character named Behemoth into play. This is the very first boss character ever made exclusively in 3D.
In contrast to Indivilia, who was known for her showy demeanor and overstated abilities before vanishing without a trace, our team at Shift Up chose instead to emphasize the potency of Behemoth’s skills as a means of capturing the original spirit. Furthermore, there were suggestions that Behemoth took inspiration from Blazing Bull in Seiko: Shadow Die Twice, particularly in terms of its intensity and difficulty level.
