Oblivion Remaster file size leaked and it’s the biggest Elder Scrolls game ever
A new substantial leak regarding the remastered version of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion has been unveiled by sources, indicating that the game’s file size will be quite expansive.
As a diehard gamer, I can’t help but feel the excitement building around me like an unstoppable storm. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remaster has been causing quite a stir, and it feels like everyone’s talking about it! From sneaky leaks of images to tantalizing details unearthed on Bing (who would have thought?), the buzz around this game is palpable. And let’s not forget the most crucial piece of information – the rumored release date. It seems like we might be getting our hands on it a lot sooner than many initially anticipated. I can hardly wait!
Yet, this information is beneficial if you can indeed install the adventure. Notably, a recent leak has provided us with insights into the game’s file size, which is expected to make it the largest Elder Scrolls game ever released.
Oblivion Remastered will be ten times the size of Skyrim
According to the well-known source XOXLEAK via their X account, the game Oblivion is anticipated to take up approximately 120.94 GB of storage space on Steam. It’s likely that this size will be comparable across other platforms once the game becomes available.

The size of this game, being 120 GB, is significantly larger than any previous games in the series. For instance, the original Oblivion was only 4.6 GB, while the latest Anniversary Edition of Skyrim on Steam is 12 GB. Even the initial release of Skyrim was just 4 GB.
Consequently, this remaster significantly outdoes other Elder Scrolls games in terms of size, suggesting that numerous aspects have been enhanced substantially.
It’s important to mention that prior to the Oblivion remaster, there was a significant launch – the PlayStation 5 edition of the Skyrim Anniversary Edition. Despite reaching 31 GB, this version pales in comparison to the forthcoming release.
Due to its substantial size, it’s advisable to ready your preferred platform for its launch, since it’s unlikely that the game will be pre-installed or pre-loaded (as it would be in a traditional “shadow drop”).
