Neverness to Everness (NTE) is an open-world role-playing game (RPG) created by Hotta Studio and published by Perfect World Games. The game features a variety of characters, each with unique elemental types. This guide will explain all the different elements and how they interact with each other.
Esper Cycle Mechanism in NTE
NTE elemental reactions work through a system called the Esper Cycle, so understanding how it functions is key. Each character in NTE has an Esper Cycle Meter. To create these reactions, you need to use the Esper ability of two characters who wield different elements.
Esper Cycle Meter values show how quickly each character charges their Esper ability. For example, Mint’s basic attack has a Cycle Rate of 18.
This special ability requires 100 Cycle points to activate. You can build up these points in three ways: by performing regular attacks, using a skill, or successfully blocking an enemy’s attack. Mint needs to land six regular attacks to fill her Cycle meter. Zero, however, fills his meter with just one use of his skill, as it generates 100 Cycle points.
When the Esper Cycle Meter is full, our characters will glow, letting you know they’re ready to switch in and unleash a strong Esper Cycle ability.

NTE: Neverness to Everness Elements Guide: Elemental Reactions
In this section, we will discuss all the elemental reaction names and what those reactions do.
| Reactions Name | Elements Involved | Reactions Explanation |
|---|---|---|
| Remora (Debuff) | Cosmos + Lakshana | The target enters Remora for 5s after triggering Esper Cycle. It’s slowed their movement and attack speed.
The effect decays over time, and if we use it repeatedly, its duration is reduced. |
| Blossom (Aoe Damage) | Cosmos + Anima | Generates 1 Lebenstamm near the target, which blossoms 5 Lebenblume. Up to 3 Lebenstamms can stay on the field at once.
Lebenblume then flies towards enemies and explodes every 2 seconds, dealing AoE damage. |
| Charge (Buff) | Cosmos + Lakshana + Anima | Active characters gain 10 Ultimate Energy when Lebensblumes hit targets effected by Remora. |
| Hexed (Follow-up attack) | Anima + Incantation | Deals an additional instance of follow-up attack DMG to the target equal to 20% DMG of both elements.
But this effect triggers every 12 seconds after the Esper Cycle is triggered. |
| Scorch (Damage over Time) | Chaos + Incantation | Deals additional Cosmos and Incantation damage for 15 seconds after triggering Esper Cycle. |
| Nova (Mental Damage) | Chaos + Psych | Inflicts Nova for 5seconds after triggering Esper Cycle. When the effect ends, the target takes massive Mental Damage. |
| Discord (Debuff) | Chaos + Psych + Incantation | Deducts a percentage of the target’s Break when they are simultaneously affected by Nova and Scorch. |
| Stain (Buff) | Psyche + Lakshana | Enemies takes 20% extra Psyche and Lakshana DMG for 12 seconds. |
At this moment, these are all elemental reactions we can do in Neverness to Everness.
Final Thoughts
The game’s elemental reactions, especially as you progress from early to later stages, add a lot of depth. To get the most out of them, it’s best to create teams that combine two or three different elements – this will make those reactions happen more consistently and effectively.
