Okay, so huge news for Nova Drift fans! Pixeljam just announced it’s hitting mobile – both iOS and Android – on March 10th! I’ve been playing this awesome rogue-lite space shooter for ages, and I can’t believe it’s finally coming to phones. It’s been in development since 2014, and Chimeric did an amazing job with the port. You can even pre-register on iOS right now, which is pretty cool.

Nova Drift is a space shooter where you build and customize your ship, combining fast-paced, old-school arcade action with the character progression you’d find in action-RPG games. The game originally began development in 2014, entered Early Access in 2019, and after a successful launch on PC, it’s now available on mobile.

You pilot a unique ship that constantly changes and becomes more powerful as you defeat enemies, allowing you to customize it during each playthrough. I especially appreciate that each session is relatively short, lasting only 15 to 45 minutes – perfect for people with busy lives.

If you have time, you can customize your character with over 200 different upgrades that become available as you play, letting you create a build that perfectly suits your style. It’s really rewarding to try out different combinations of weapons, shields, and body gear – maybe set enemies on fire with your thrusters or control a drone army in special challenge modes!

The game seems really enjoyable, especially with all the fantastic reviews it’s been getting on Steam. It offers a lot of great features too, like randomly generated levels for each playthrough, smooth performance, appealing graphics, extensive customization options, a fantastic soundtrack by Miles Tilmann, and even support for mobile gamepads – plus much more!
