New Stranger Things Show’s Runtimes for All 10 Episodes Possibly Revealed

Details about how long each episode will be in the upcoming animated series, Tales from ’85 – a spin-off of Stranger Things – have been released. The sci-fi drama, coming to Netflix later this month, will include familiar faces like Mike and Eleven, alongside new characters.

Cryptic HD Quality reported on X (formerly Twitter) that the episodes of Stranger Things: Tales from ’85 will each be between 24 and 28 minutes long.

The episodes vary in length, with the second one being the longest at 28 minutes. The first and last episodes are next, each lasting 27 minutes. Episode six runs for 26 minutes, followed by episodes 4, 5, 7, and 8, which are all 25 minutes long. Episodes 3 and 9 are the shortest, each clocking in at 24 minutes.

The new series, Tales from ’85, will be available worldwide on April 23, 2026. But some fans will have a chance to see the first two episodes a little earlier! Netflix is hosting special screenings in select theaters on Saturday, April 18th, at both 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. local time. These screenings will be held in 34 theaters across the U.S., as well as at the Paris Theater in New York City and Netflix House in Philadelphia. Plus, attendees will receive a special collectible item.

The show is set between the second and third seasons of Stranger Things, in 1985. According to Netflix, the story follows the main characters as they face new monsters and try to solve a strange, frightening mystery that’s happening in their town – it’s called ‘Stranger Things: Tales From ’85’.

Eric Robles is the creator and showrunner of Tales from ’85. He also executive produces the series alongside the creators of the original show – The Duffer Brothers – as well as Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen.
