
CBS has released a sneak peek of its new series, Marshals, the first spin-off from the hit show Yellowstone. Set after the events of Yellowstone, the show follows Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) as he teams up with a group of highly skilled U.S. Marshals. Viewers will meet a new cast of characters when the series premieres this Sunday.
A new clip from the upcoming CBS and Paramount+ series Marshals recently premiered on Collider. The clip showcases Kayce and his U.S. Marshal team – including Logan Marshall-Green, Arielle Kebbel, Ash Santos, and Tatanka Means – preparing for a challenging assignment. They’ll be traveling on horseback through dangerous terrain filled with grizzlies, rattlesnakes, and rock slides, and Kayce, an experienced rider, is tasked with leading them to serve federal warrants. The scene effectively introduces the team’s chemistry and highlights Kayce’s skills. You can watch the clip here.
The rest of the Marshals cast features several familiar faces from Yellowstone, including Gil Birmingham as Thomas Rainwater, Mo Brings Plenty as Mo, and Brecken Merrill as Tate Dutton. Spencer Hudnut serves as showrunner on Marshals, as well as executive producer alongside Taylor Sheridan, David Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Michael Freidman, Luke Grimes, and Greg Yaitanes. After leaving Yellowstone Ranch, Kayce Dutton becomes a U.S. Marshal, using his experience as both a cowboy and a Navy SEAL to enforce the law in Montana. Alongside his team – Pete Calvin, Belle Skinner, Andrea Cruz, and Miles Kittle – he faces the emotional challenges of being a frontline defender against violence while also trying to maintain his family life, including his son Tate and his close connections with Mo and Thomas Rainwater from the Broken Rock reservation.
