New Harlan Coben! Watch the must-see, adrenaline-packed trailer for Netflix’s twisty police thriller

The official trailer is here for Harlan Coben‘s upcoming Netflix thriller, I Will Find You. It quickly introduces us to David Burroughs (played by Sam Worthington), the main character, who is in prison for a crime he insists he didn’t commit.

He states he’s in prison for life after tragically killing his son. Immediately after, the scene shifts to him escaping and becoming a fugitive from the police.

Just when things seemed hopeless, David gets a new clue suggesting his son, Matthew (Ashton Cressman), might still be alive. This drives him to escape custody and start his own investigation. Luckily, he has help from his sister-in-law, Rachel (Britt Lower from Severance), who’s a skilled investigative journalist.

Britt Lower, who stars in the show, recently shared with Tudum that her character, Rachel, always believed David was innocent of the crime he was convicted of. It’s her desire to uncover the truth that drives the story forward.

“I Will Find You” is a new direction for the popular author, and it’s notable for a couple of reasons. First, it’s his first project made for American television. More importantly, unlike his other hit shows which started as books, this one was originally created as a TV series.

I shared my idea with showrunner Robby Hull while I was writing the novel, and we pitched it to Netflix as a potential TV series – something I hadn’t done before. We both had a clear idea of how to tell the story of I Will Find You in a way that would be captivating and emotionally impactful for viewers, especially at the very end.

What to Read Next

Fans who enjoyed Harlan Coben’s previous TV shows—like Run Away with Ruth Jones and James Nesbitt, Missing You starring Rosalind Eleazar and Ashley Walters, and Fool Me Once featuring Michelle Keegan—won’t want to miss this one.

Keegan is returning to lead another Harlan Coben thriller, with production now underway on The Woods. She’ll star alongside Tom Bateman (known for Behind Her Eyes), and together they’ll be investigating a mystery that first unfolded twenty years ago.

The cast of The Woods features Pearce Quigley (known for The Gentlemen), Rade Sherbedgia (Slow Horses), Shannon Watson (The Jetty), James Buckley (The Inbetweeners), Amelia Eve (Bly Manor), and Charlotte Beaumont and Christopher Harper, who both appear in Call the Midwife.

I Will Find You will arrive to Netflix on 18 June.
