Alex Perez, a well-known source of information about the Marvel Cinematic Universe from Cosmic Circus, recently held a question-and-answer session with fans. He discussed the upcoming movies Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, and when asked if a version of Peggy Carter would play a villainous, magic-wielding role – specifically a character called a “Doom Witch” – in the films, he responded.

Perez explained that the character is more of a supporter of Doctor Doom than a villain herself. She isn’t working with him because she dislikes anyone, but because she genuinely believes his plans will help her and her son resolve the problems in the multiverse – problems Perez partly blames on decisions Steve Rogers made at the end of Avengers: Endgame.

A fan recently asked about a rumor started by a reliable source, MyTimeToShineHello, between January 19th and 21st, 2026. This rumor originally claimed Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter would battle in the movie Avengers: Doomsday. The source later specified that the fight would be between a heroic version of Rogers and a villainous version of Carter.

The source then proposed a scenario where Rogers could fight a version of Carter who was like Doctor Doom. However, a few days later, they changed their claim, stating it wouldn’t be a Doom-like Carter, but rather someone who followed or assisted her – a sort of apprentice.

For now, everything is just guesswork. We’ll all have to wait until the movie is released to find out exactly what role Peggy Carter will play.
