Due to the popularity of the Netflix show, Shirley Jackson’s novel The Haunting of Hill House will be adapted into a new play.
Ahead of its world premiere in a few months, the full cast has been announced.
The series centers around a group of investigators who attempt to solve the secrets of the infamous Hill House, only to realize they’ve bitten off more than they can chew and are in serious danger.
The cast list is as follows:
- Jasper Britton as Dr Montague
- Jemma Churchill as Mrs Montague
- Sian Howard as Mrs Dudley
- Sophie Lenglinger as Theo
- Robin Morrissey as Luke
- Clancy Ryan as Eleanor
Stef Smith, a celebrated playwright with Olivier and BAFTA awards, has adapted Shirley Jackson’s famous ghost story for the theatre. She says Jackson wrote one of the best haunted house tales ever, and she’s thrilled to bring it to life on stage.

According to a recent announcement, the latest edition of Jackson’s acclaimed work blends thrilling mystery with elements of the supernatural, making it suitable for readers age 12 and older.
