The third season will cover the second part of the Alabasta Saga from the original manga, following Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates as they arrive in the Alabasta Kingdom to stop the criminal organization Baroque Works from carrying out their evil plans. Currently in production, season 3, subtitled The Battle of Alabasta, is expected to be released in 2027.

The official Netflix One Piece account recently shared a video of Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece, visiting the set of season 3. The video shows Oda walking through the impressive Alabasta desert set, built for the live-action series. It begins with a warm hug between Oda and Iñaki Godoy (who plays Luffy), and then shows Oda sketching Luffy in the sand, using the character’s manga design.
