The movie centers around Mara (Belén Cuesta) and her desperate search for her daughter, Lide (Candela Martínez), who went missing in the woods during a family vacation. The story begins after Lide disappears, focusing on her mother’s efforts to find her.

Heaven of Horror says that if you like twisty psychological thrillers and enjoy trying to figure out the plot, but don’t mind being surprised, then Firebreak on Netflix is a good choice. They found the show lived up to their expectations.
Digital Media Talkies also commended the film, stating that Firebreak tries to address important societal problems and encourage unity instead of division.
