Great news for Harlan Coben fans! Michelle Keegan, who starred in Fool Me Once, is teaming up with him again for a new Netflix series. Production has officially started on The Woods, so get ready to watch another one of his thrilling stories come to life.
I picked up this book back in 2007 when it first came out, and seriously, I couldn’t put it down. Everyone was calling it a real rollercoaster – one review even said it was the best thing Harlan Coben had ever written, according to the Chicago Times on Amazon. It totally lived up to the hype!
Netflix describes the show as follows: Twenty years ago, Paul Copeland’s sister disappeared from a summer camp, deeply affecting his family. Now a successful lawyer and single father to a ten-year-old daughter named Cami, Paul seems to have moved on.

However, the discovery of a man’s body – found two decades after Camille’s supposed murder – leads Cope to believe his sister might still be alive.
Driven to find out what really happened, Cope reconnects with his former love, Lucy Silverfield, and they start investigating. Their search reveals decades of deception, hidden truths, and family secrets that could ruin Cope’s life.
Michelle Keegan, the star of the popular Netflix thriller Fool Me Once which stayed in the global top 10 for eight weeks, will lead the cast of a new Harlan Coben adaptation. She’ll play Lucy Silverfield, and Tom Bateman (known for Behind Her Eyes) will play the character Paul ‘Cope’ Copeland.
What to Read Next

Joining the cast of The Woods are Mandeep Dhillon (known for MobLand), Pearce Quigley (The Gentlemen), Rade Sherbedgia (Slow Horses, Downton Abbey), Shannon Watson (The Jetty), James Buckley (The Inbetweeners), Amelia Eve (Bly Manor), Pamela Nomvete (Nightsleeper), and Kerry Howard (Him and Her).
Tom Allen, known from The Great British Bake Off, will also be part of the project, alongside Charlotte Beaumont and Christopher Harper, who star in Call the Midwife.
Harlan Coben is reuniting with frequent collaborator Danny Brocklehurst (who previously worked on Fool Me Once, Lazarus, and Run Away) for his new series, The Woods. Joining them are writers Charlotte Coben (Dead Hot, Run Away), Tom Farrelly (Lazarus), and Joe Forrest (known for ITV’s After The Flood).

Harlan Coben’s suspenseful stories are a big hit with TV viewers, and The Woods is the fourteenth of his novels to be adapted into a Netflix series. His latest release on the streaming platform was Run Away in January, featuring James Nesbitt, Ruth Jones, Alfred Enoch, and Minnie Driver.
I was blown away by the huge twist at the end – seriously, it’s one of Harlan Coben’s most shocking! And Digital Spy gave it four stars, saying that the amazing Gavin and Stacey actor absolutely stole the show. It was fantastic!
We have no doubt that fans will now be eagerly waiting for The Woods to land on our screens.
