My Chemical Romance has sparked excitement among fans with a mysterious social media post, suggesting something new might be coming soon.
My Chemical Romance recently posted a picture on Instagram featuring a yellow spider and the Roman numerals ‘XV’. Longtime fans will recognize these images from the artwork of their famous album, Danger Days. The post simply said, “Tomorrow.”, hinting at a potential announcement.
My Chemical Romance’s album, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, came out in 2010. The album celebrated its 15th anniversary last November.
What could My Chemical Romance be planning for the Danger Days 15th anniversary?
Okay, so it’s pretty obvious MCR is doing something for an anniversary – the Roman numerals and that Danger Days style artwork are a dead giveaway. But honestly, nobody knows exactly what they’ve got up their sleeve! Still, it’s fun to try and figure it out, right? I’ve been making some guesses with my friends, and it’s exciting to think about what they’ll announce.
My Chemical Romance might be planning a special re-release to celebrate an anniversary. Considering what they’ve done before, it could be a refreshed version of Danger Days, with updated sound quality. They recently re-released a deluxe edition of Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge with remixes and mastering updates for its 21st anniversary, so a similar release isn’t out of the question.
It’s typical for My Chemical Romance to look back and celebrate their older music. Since getting back together, they’ve really been concentrating on revisiting and performing their past albums through new releases and tours.
The band has been consistently touring for several years, starting with their reunion shows and now with their incredibly elaborate “Long Live The Black Parade” tour. It’s become less of a typical concert series and more of a full-scale theatrical experience.
The band will be headlining the Sonic Temple music festival in Columbus, Ohio, on that day. They might also reveal their news during the festival, perhaps even while performing on stage.
We can speculate about what My Chemical Romance is planning, but we’ll know for sure soon – it looks like we only have to wait until tomorrow!
