Muse’s frontman Matt Bellamy spends time with his sex therapist ex-fiancée after his split from model wife Elle Evans

Following his separation from Elle Evans, Matt Bellamy has been seen spending time with his former fiancée, Gaia Polloni.

Last week, 47-year-old Matt Bellamy, the lead singer of Muse, was seen taking a walk in Notting Hill with Gaia, a therapist and psychologist. He wasn’t wearing his wedding ring, which has sparked speculation about his marriage.

After being seen out together, news broke that Matt and his wife, 36-year-old model Elle, had separated after seven years of marriage. They share two children: five-year-old Lovella and their son George, who was born in May 2024.

A source told The Sun that Matt and Gaia remain close friends and have been spending time together since Matt ended his relationship with Elle.

‘It’s been a hard time for him, naturally, as it would be after the end of any marriage.

Oh my gosh, Gaia is just amazing at listening, seriously. And Matt? He’s really putting all his energy into getting better and figuring out how to be a good co-parent with Elle, which is so good to see! I’m just really rooting for them all.

Daily Mail has contacted Matt’s representatives for comment. 

Matt and Gaia began dating in 2001 after meeting at a bar in Milan, and they got engaged six years later, in 2007.

The singer relocated to Moltrasio, close to Lake Como, to be near Gaia while she finished school. His experiences there greatly shaped Muse’s album, The Resistance.

But in 2009, the relationship broke down and they called off their engagement.

People say his song, ‘Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever)’, was written after a difficult breakup.

Matt and Elle are reported to have split last October.

The Sun reports that the two are getting along well and prioritizing raising their children, five-year-old Lovella and George.

I’m hearing from sources that Matt and Elle decided to go their separate ways back in October, but thankfully it’s a really positive split. They’re prioritizing their kids and are committed to co-parenting, and thankfully, they remain on good terms with each other. It’s lovely to see they’re handling things so well!

Matt also has a son Bingham, 14, whom he shares with his ex Kate Hudson, 46.

Kate Hudson and musician Matt Bellamy were engaged for three years, from 2011 to 2014, but they ultimately broke up, believing it was the best decision for both of their happiness.

The singer is said to have been splitting time between London and LA, where Bingham lives.  

Matt previously admitted he wanted to based in the UK permanently. 

He expressed his desire to make something happen, and Elle is also enthusiastic about it. He needs to address a previous relationship, as it’s causing complications with getting everyone on the same page. He’s hopeful it will all work out eventually.
