I was so excited to see photos of Megan Gale and Shaun Hampson! It turns out they actually got married in Fiji back in December 2024, but they kept it a secret – and this is the first time they’ve been seen together since! It’s lovely to see them looking so happy.
A 50-year-old model and a 37-year-old former Australian rules football player were seen taking a leisurely walk together in Perth on Tuesday.
Megan looked effortlessly chic in a white tank top, an animal-print midi skirt, and a designer Louis Vuitton tote bag valued at $5300.
Oh my gosh, she was totally natural, like, no makeup at all! It was just… breathtaking. She had these amazing cat-eye sunglasses on, hiding her eyes a little, but still, you could just feel her. And her hair! It was just flowing, dark and loose, cascading down her shoulders. I couldn’t stop staring, honestly. It was perfect.
Oh my gosh, Shaun just walked by and… wow. He was wearing this simple grey t-shirt, and you could see everything, you know? Seriously sculpted! And the cutest detail – he had his sunglasses hooked right onto the neckline of his shirt. It was just… perfection. I swear, I almost died!
He completed his look with a navy shorts and a smart watch.
This new appearance follows the couple’s surprising announcement that they secretly tied the knot in December 2024. The intimate ceremony took place in Fiji and was attended by only their closest family and friends.
Megan revealed in a recent Marie Claire Australia interview that she and her partner got married in December 2024.
The couple had a very private wedding, inviting only their mothers and children. They didn’t tell anyone else beforehand and kept the guest list extremely small.
Megan said the couple’s choice showed their true selves: they’re very private people who prefer to keep things simple and avoid attention.
‘We never wanted a big, public, showy wedding,’ she told the publication.
She explained that after living much of her life in the public eye, it was a welcome change to keep this particular part of her life private.
‘We wanted it just for us and the family.’
Gale chose the tropical island of Vomo for a special reason: its beautiful beaches and clear blue water reminded her of her Polynesian roots.
She also revealed the couple told loved ones at the last minute to maintain total discretion.
‘We told them at dinner the night before,’ said Megan.
‘There was a lot of “What? No way!” But it made it more special.’
The couple kept their wedding a secret for a full year, and Gale explained they only felt ready to share the news now that some time had gone by.
The announcement comes as Gale graces the cover of Marie Claire Australia’s JOY issue.
She has long, loose, and wavy brunette hair, and her makeup is subtle and natural, emphasizing healthy, glowing skin with a touch of bronze and neutral lips.
The actress, who started her career as a model, has said she doesn’t feel pressured to get married to her partner of 14 years, finding the idea of wedding planning overwhelming.
She playfully mentioned it felt like she’d been engaged forever, then explained the reasons for delaying her wedding.
‘Look, it was always something […] that we were in no rush to do.
‘Traditionally everyone’s like: get engaged, plan the wedding, have the kids.
I’ve never dreamed of a big wedding. It all just seems like too much effort, and honestly, the thought of planning one is tiring.
Megan said that for her, having a family was a much bigger priority than having a large wedding.
Megan and Shaun had two children, River, 11, and Rosie, 8, before Shaun proposed in 2017.
We decided to wait until the children were old enough to participate in the wedding and have memories of it, she explained.
Although Megan wasn’t completely opposed to getting married, she simply said she’d like to have a wedding with Shaun sometime in the future.
Megan previously revealed the secret to their happy and healthy relationship.
In a 2019 interview on Channel Seven’s The Morning Show, Megan emphasized that good communication is essential for any successful relationship, and she believes she and her partner excel at it.
‘He’s awesome, he’s just the best dad and we parent really well together.’
Their relationship didn’t start easily. At first, they had a hard time with how the public viewed them when they began dating.
Megan has shared that she and Shaun struggled with being called a ‘cougar’ due to their 12-year age difference.
‘It was being turned into something scandalous,’ she confessed.
‘I was being called a cougar, he was being called a toyboy.’
Shaun described the unwanted attention as ‘horrible,’ explaining, ‘You can’t predict things like this. I never expected to fall for her the way I did – I simply wanted to spend all my time with her.’
