Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 3 Arrives Sept. 29 With Final Fantasy XIV Collaboration

Get ready, Monster Hunter Wilds fans! The next big update, Title Update 3, arrives next week!

The update includes new monsters, character customizations, and limited-time quests, but the most exciting addition is a team-up with Final Fantasy XIV Online, letting players battle the Omega Planetes.

This is the second partnership for the game in as many months, following a crossover with Street Fighter 6 last month.

Realms Collide in Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 3

During the TGS 2025 presentation, it was announced that the third major update for Monster Hunter Wilds will launch on September 29, 2025, and will include these new features:

  • The update features a collaboration with FINAL FANTASY XIV Online, where you’ll fight the boss Omega Planetes and encounter unique mechanics from the other game.
  • Two new jobs from FFXIV are available: the Dark Knight and the Pictomancer. You can become a Dark Knight by using the Bale Armor, and a Pictomancer by using the “Soul of the Pictomancer” item.
  • The update also includes a permanent Arch-tempered Nu Udra Event Quest, new quests with rarity 8 materials, a Seregios Challenge Quest, and an Arch-tempered Nu Udra Free Challenge Quest.
  • New cosmetics are available, including a pendant, gesture, Palico and Seikret gear, and four nostalgic gestures as free DLC.
  • Looking ahead, the Festival of Accord: Dreamspell event is coming this fall, and Title Update 4 in December will introduce the monster Gogmazios.

This update will include more than just what we’ve shown – expect bug fixes and improvements to performance. We also anticipate some adjustments to game balance. The full patch notes should be available soon, as the update releases on all platforms next week.

Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles comes out on September 30, 2025, and shortly after, Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade and Final Fantasy 16 will be available on Xbox Series X|S. 2026 promises to be an even bigger year for the franchise, with more games on the way.
