Monster Hunter Worlds’ endgame update arrives sooner than expected, as Capcom has decided to adjust their previously planned updates over the next few months. Essentially, they’ve shuffled things around rather than making significant changes.
Despite the fact that the hunting monsters action game has shown its weakness in terms of performance, it is also the tasks you are left with after defeating Arkveld that have sparked frustration among players.

Performance problems have highlighted the weak point of the action game centered around hunting monsters, but even after defeating Arkveld, the activities assigned to players have become another focus for player complaints.
Capcom announced on Twitter that they are adjusting their plans, revealing that the additional content for the game’s endgame, which was initially scheduled for the September update (version 1.021), is now being released in the August update instead.
The final update is scheduled for release on August 13th, 2025. In terms of what this enlargement of the endgame will bring, it includes a hike in quest difficulty and an innovative rewards system for these quests. This system will be centered around “Talismans with randomly combined skills”. Furthermore, there are plans to make adjustments to the weapon balance beyond what was previously planned as part of version 1.021, according to Capcom.
We are moving up the release of the additional endgame content that was initially scheduled for Title Update 3 in late September. This extra content will now be included in the Version 1.021 update instead. To make this possible, we’ve adjusted our plans accordingly.

The studio is hinting at additional “performance enhancements and adjustments,” so there’s hope for you if you’re eagerly awaiting further optimizations. The updates the developers rolled out last month seem to have benefited some gamers, but based on the persistently negative Steam reviews, Wilds still has a way to go before it can run smoothly enough for your character to keep up with their Secret Rocket suddenly taking off without warning.
I’m crossing my fingers that this latest Wilds update will make the game more in line with what players have been hoping for, since the inclusion of water guns and swimsuits in the summer update didn’t quite manage to draw all MonHun fans back in.
