Monster Hunter Wilds: How to Play Barrel Bowling

The first significant free update for “Monster Hunter Wilds” is now live! This update brings a variety of fresh elements to the game, including new beasts to hunt and new activities for players to enjoy.

During breaks from tracking down fresh monsters in the latest update of Monster Hunter Wilds, players will discover a variety of entertaining activities that were missing in the original game. These activities take place at the Grand Hub, a brand-new social center designed to bring hunters together and foster interaction among them. One such activity is the exciting new game called Barrel Bowling.

How to Play Barrel Bowling

In the Grand Hub, you’ll find an exciting, festive game mode called Barrel Bowling. This unique game has its own distinct regulations and scoring system. Exceptional players may even earn valuable rewards that come in handy during their hunting expeditions.

To locate where you can enjoy Barrel Bowling, when you reach the Grand Hub, head rightward and ascend a stairway that leads up to a high ground, which is actually a big hill. Upon reaching the top, keep an eye out for a Palico vendor named Rollie, who’s stationed at a desk near a stack of barrel bombs.

You can toss these barrel bombs independently, without needing to converse with Rollie initially. However, chatting with Rollie will unlock the full game mode experience. Upon your first conversation, they’ll present you with 10 Barrel Bowling Tickets. These tickets are essential for participating in the reward-granting version of Barrel Bowling.

After claiming your ticket and entering the game, you’ll be given two opportunities to earn as many points as possible. As you travel up the slope, you’ll encounter three different items that award varying amounts of points:

  • Small Pins: 2 points each
  • Large Pins: 20 points each
  • Palico Statue: 200 points

Following your two attempts, your position is determined by the points you earn, with the scale ranging from D rank (the lowest) to A rank (the highest). The higher the rank achieved, the greater the rewards you’ll receive. These rewards encompass a variety of items useful for hunts, such as potions, and other tickets that can be used in the Grand Hub, like meal vouchers.
