With the launch of the latest update, there’s an abundance of fresh topics to discuss! Fortunately for you, I’m on hand to clarify the workings of the newly introduced Arena Quests and their associated rewards.

In the latest Free Title Update, you’ll encounter Arena Quests – the epitome of tough challenges for adventurous Hunters. These quests resemble time trials, pushing Hunters to adapt to unfamiliar weapons and equipment as they hunt diverse monsters.

I’ll make sure to give you sufficient details so you won’t be navigating in the dark. Currently, there aren’t many quests, but rest assured, Capcom is preparing a lot more for us.

Where To Find Arena Quests?

Instead of showing up on your regular Quest Board at Alma, Arena Quests will only be available in the Grand Hub. To find them, make your way to the heart of the hub, specifically near the cooking area. There, you’ll spot two NPCs who can offer you these exclusive quests.

Speak with Ricardo, and he will prepare you for your inaugural run in an Arena Quest. No need to worry about the finer details yet; simply choose the one that appeals to you most.

How do Arena Quests Work?

As a seasoned gamer, I’ve found that the real action begins when I dive into Arena Quests. Mastering their unique set of regulations is key to triumphing in my hunting adventures.

To start with, it is essential to understand that these tasks come with certain restrictions, including the number of participants in a party, which appears to be capped at a maximum of two for now. Additionally, you will be presented with a variety of equipment options to pick from.

After selecting your quest, you’ll encounter a display presenting three choices for your weaponry and armor sets. Each set includes two weapons, armor, and a few essential supplies.

In this part, we’ve set a time limit of 300 seconds for you to arrive at a decision. This implies that you should act swiftly and collaborate with your teammates to strategize effectively on how to address this issue efficiently.

Arena Quest Rewards

Next, let’s discuss the best part – the prizes! Typically, there’s a variety of goods up for grabs after finishing the quest, but what may particularly pique your interest are the Coin rewards.

These coins serve a specific function, which is to create various equipment pieces. At the moment, the options might not seem overly exciting, but remember, this is just the start of what’s to come.

As a gamer, I’m not just playing for the rewards; it’s also about demonstrating my gaming prowess and speed since we’re dealing with time trials here. Plus, I can flaunt my scores on the Leaderboards within the game, comparing myself to other skilled Hunters out there.

Just a heads up, every unique collection of weapons and armor gets its own evaluation. This means that if you’re using the Greatsword and Hunting Horn set, the score you get is solely related to that specific set, allowing for fair comparison of performance across different equipment.

These hunts do NOT yield monster parts. However, breaking off pieces or damaging wounds may reward you with healing items that could prove useful, so remember to gather them when possible.

Challenge Quests

These challenges, similar to Arena Quests, prioritize speed due to their time-constrained nature. To clarify, there are actually two types of Challenge Quests: Regular Challenge Quests and Free Challenge Quests.

They both operate a bit differently, so let’s go over them separately.

Challenge Quests

As a devoted player, I must say that these challenges resemble Arena Quests in essence but come with a unique twist: they are temporary events, offering a restricted window of opportunity. In contrast to the usual free-for-all, you’ll be teaming up with just one other person. Additionally, instead of an extensive array of equipment at your disposal, you’ll need to choose wisely from a preselected assortment of gear.

Given their temporary nature, it would be worth trying these events out as they could potentially net you some valuable Coins. These Coins might be useful in the future for crafting equipment, which could turn into gear with new features or currently serve as protective armor.

Free Challenge Quests

This one, as suggested by its title, offers a greater degree of flexibility when it comes to strategy for the pursuit. There are no constraints on the number of Hunters or particular gear, thus ensuring that your setup aligns optimally with the forthcoming challenge.

As no Free Challenge Quests are currently accessible, it seems reasonable to assume that the future rewards may resemble those from past challenges.

Challenge Quest Rewards

You should regularly verify these, as they might change over time due to the introduction and removal of new quests. They could potentially provide items like ingredients or Armor Spheres that you need, making it an efficient method to acquire them without extensive effort or prolonged grinding.

Additionally, each type has its own ranking system, giving you an opportunity to outperform others and climb the ranks. Furthermore, your achievements will earn you distinct rewards.

No matter if you join or not, taking part guarantees you a Pendant for your character. You can adorn these Pendants on your character’s attire to demonstrate your prowess to fellow Hunters.

Leaderboards

At any given moment, you can access the Leaderboards within the Grand Hub by navigating to the Expedition Board situated to the left upon entering the Grand Hub. In case the overall Leaderboards don’t appeal to you, there are options available for comparing your progress with that of your friends.

Should you succeed in making it into the top 10,000, you will be rewarded with a distinctive pendant to celebrate your exceptional achievement. However, don’t worry about it for now as there is still plenty of time.

It’s unfortunate that certain individuals appear to be able to vanquish monsters within just a few seconds. Let’s hope Capcom takes action against these alleged cheaters promptly.

For now, I suggest just trying to beat your own records or hang out with your friends.
