‘Monster Hunter Wilds’ Announces Special ‘Street Fighter 6’ Collaboration with Awesome Trailer

Launched towards the end of February, the game titled “Monster Hunter Wilds” turned out to be a massive success. It garnered favorable reviews and managed to sell such an impressive number of copies that we can already predict it as one of the biggest hits of 2025. This development made us quite elated.

We’ve been sharing updates about the game and its developments, and we’re thrilled to announce that fresh content is on the horizon! This time around, it’s a unique collaboration that many enthusiasts are sure to appreciate.

It’s exciting news that Capcom will merge two of its popular series by introducing the Street Fighter universe into Monster Hunter Wilds. This unique collaboration promises a thrilling experience for players!

Before we reveal more details, here is the official trailer:

Excitedly speaking as a fan, let me tell you, this crossover event is shaping up to be an exhilarating ride! Given the high-energy nature of both franchises, we’re in for one hell of a spectacle. The key point I want to highlight is that Akuma, the combat demon who has absorbed the Satsui no Hado and aspires to be the supreme master of the fist, is stepping into the world of Monster Hunter Wilds. Alongside him comes a host of fresh features!

In this collaboration, there’s a new mission called “Ultimate Strength” (accessible for hunters with HR 21 or above; to initiate it, you need to converse with Quinn, the Vespae Unit manager, at the Oilwell Basin Base Camp). This mission will include Akuma, along with collaborative arena quests named “Demonic Strength” and “True Strength”. All these quests are set to offer unique rewards.

The known rewards will include:

  • “Akuma” hunter full armor set and layered equipment
  • “Blanka-Chan” Palico full armor set and layered equipment
  • Hunter Profile background, nameplate, and pose

The collaboration will encompass various paid downloadable content packs, while the primary one will be free and will stay in the game after the new update. The release date for this content falls on May 28, 2025 – not too far away!
