Monster Hunter Showcase Delayed Due to Tsunami Warning in Japan

After a strong 7.6 magnitude earthquake hit Japan and a tsunami warning was issued, Capcom has delayed today’s Monster Hunter Showcase. Originally planned for 2 PM PST, the company says they will announce a new date when it’s available.

The presentation was going to share new information about Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection and Monster Hunter Wilds, with a focus on the latest update for Wilds. This update, releasing this month, introduces the Elder Dragon, Gogmazios, to the game. We also expected to see details about other new content and a plan for future seasonal events.

Capcom had previously stated they wouldn’t share any further information, likely to avoid disappointing players hoping for news about expansions. Considering the game has been available for nearly a year and there are no plans for future updates currently announced, this approach makes sense.

The next update for the game will be available on December 16th, and we’ll share more details about what’s included soon. Also, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is scheduled to release on March 13th, 2026.
