On September 18, 2025, Untraceable gleefully shared that Monero raised 3,086.62 XMR, worth a mouthwatering $925,800 (depending on your opinion of $300 coins-hey, it’s still cash). You can almost hear the cha-ching from the crypto exchanges.

So, how did this mountain of Monero come to life? Drumroll…via the Community Crowdfunding System (CCS) on getmonero.org. That’s right, it’s all for “protocol development and other Monero-related projects.” Sounds so noble, doesn’t it?
