Burberry model Sarah Ann Macklin has shared that she’s proactively taken measures to preserve her ability to have children in the future.
On International Women’s Day, the 36-year-old model, who once graced the cover of Vogue and caught the attention of Prince Harry in 2016 before he met Meghan Markle, shared details about her life and experiences.
She recently shared photos on Instagram documenting the start of her egg-freezing journey, explaining it was a deeply personal decision she made this year.
What really surprised me wasn’t the health aspects of it, but the number of women who contacted me afterwards sharing similar experiences.
Sarah Ann, who previously dated model David Gandy, shared that the experience made her think about the many choices women face regarding their jobs, relationships, having children, and when to have them.
It feels right to recognize that on International Women’s Day. Sending support to anyone who is currently thinking about these issues.
Sarah concluded: ‘The resilience of women never ceases to amaze me.’
In 2016, The Mail on Sunday reported that Prince Harry was secretly seeing someone named Sarah at the same time he was beginning a relationship with Meghan Markle.
That year, while Meghan Markle was visiting London, the Prince went on several dates with a model for Burberry in June and July.
According to friends of Sarah, Harry met her at a private party and immediately seemed interested, getting her phone number and texting her frequently – a pattern reportedly similar to how he first contacted Meghan Markle.
Okay, so I’m hearing that Harry’s attention towards Sarah has ruffled some feathers – specifically, those of her ex, David Gandy. You might recognize him as the handsome model for Marks and Spencer – apparently, he wasn’t thrilled about Harry entering the picture! It’s a classic case of jealousy, really.
A source close to her said at the time: ‘Their fling is an open secret among her friends.
David Gandy realized Harry was trying to win her over and attempted to rekindle their relationship. She found herself with a choice between one of the country’s most well-known models and a prince, and she was amused by the situation.
She rejected David and briefly dated Prince Harry, but that relationship didn’t last. They remain friends now.
A friend shared that Harry and she met at a party, and Harry immediately showed interest in her. She was pleased by his attention, and they dated for a short while, keeping their relationship private.
They started dating, but weren’t a good match. She prefers a very healthy lifestyle and rarely drinks, which was different from what he was used to. He also seemed hesitant, and the relationship never really developed. It ended before he left for a month-long trip to Africa in August.
Sarah is represented by the top agency Select Model Management and has modeled for well-known brands like Burberry, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Matthew Williamson.
