Matthew Perry’s ‘Ketamine Queen’ drug dealer sentenced to 15 years in jail for selling fatal dose to Friends icon

The woman who pleaded guilty to selling the ketamine that caused Matthew Perry’s fatal overdose has received a 15-year prison sentence, followed by three years of supervised release.

Jasveen Sangha, nicknamed the ‘Ketamine Queen‘ by those she sold drugs to, admitted in court that she was guilty of five federal crimes connected to the death of an actor from the TV show Friends in 2023.

Sangha has been in federal custody since her arrest in August 2024.

In a court filing from March 25, federal prosecutors recommended a sentence of 15 years in prison.

According to a 24-page report filed by federal prosecutors in California, Sangha was identified as a drug dealer whose products caused harm to users.

After learning she sold the drugs that caused Perry’s death, prosecutors accused her of continuing to deal, showing no concern for the consequences.

On October 28, 2023, Perry was discovered unconscious at the bottom of his pool at his home in Pacific Palisades, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office concluded that Matthew Perry died from an accidental overdose of ketamine.

In court documents, prosecutors described Sangha’s behavior as shockingly indifferent and disrespectful of human life. They argued she prioritized financial gain over the well-being of others, causing significant suffering to the victims’ families.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve been following this case closely. Essentially, Ms. Sangha’s lawyers are saying she’s taken responsibility for her actions and admitted her involvement in some serious wrongdoing. Because of this, they’re asking the judge to consider that she’s already spent time in custody and to factor that into her final sentencing.

The lawyers emphasized that she fully acknowledges the seriousness of the alleged actions and their potential repercussions.
