The sci-fi thriller Patient Zero, starring Matt Smith, is now available to stream in the UK. The film, directed by Stefan Ruzowitzky, features Smith as Morgan, a man who doesn’t show any symptoms despite being infected with a dangerous new virus.
Once he connected with a group of other survivors, he began a quest to find a cure for the virus that had transformed humanity into a dangerous, highly intelligent, and efficient killing species.
The film will also star Natalie Dormer and John Bradley, known for their roles in Game of Thrones, Clive Standen from Vikings, and the acclaimed Stanley Tucci, alongside Smith.

In a recent interview with Capital FM hosts Jordan North, Chris Stark, and Sian Welby, Smith admitted that the show Patient Zero was the low point of their career.
When asked about a movie he’d remove from his filmography, Smith said he doesn’t believe in regrets, but there was one film, Patient Zero, that he jokingly refers to as a low point in his career.
Smith confessed he hadn’t seen the movie, then explained that the idea was to turn it into a series of films. He described it as being about zombies who are drawn to music, adding, ‘When you’re creating something, you often have a feeling it won’t be very good.’
Rotten Tomatoes gave the film an 11% rating based on 9 reviews. Common Sense Media described it as an action movie with zombie elements that loses its way, becoming irritating due to its constant yelling, loud noises, and shaky camera work long before the end.
Starburst reviewed the film as being more suited for home viewing than the cinema, stating it’s ‘watchable’ and won’t feel like a total waste of eighty minutes.
