Three new characters—Wolverine, Magik, and Danger—are now available to play in the game for the very first time.
As a fighting game fan, I’m super excited about the Arc World Tour 2025-2026 Finals! Arc System Works always delivers amazing tournaments for their games, and this one looks to be huge. They’re even showcasing the latest version of MARVEL Tōkon, and get this – we’ll finally get to play as the X-Men! It’s going to be incredible.
This event will be held in Seoul, South Korea, from March 20th to 22nd. While getting there might be a bit challenging, we’re expecting a wealth of information once popular players and content creators get a chance to experience the newest version of MARVEL Tōkon – including details on new characters and everything else about the game.
MARVEL Tōkon ahead of the AWT 2025-2026 Finals: Roster
The Unbreakable X-Men marks the debut of a four-member team in MARVEL Tōkon. Featuring Storm, Magik, Wolverine, and Danger, this team – and its three new characters – is the highlight of the AWT build.
There will be 20 characters on release. Eleven of them are available during the event.

Arc System Works’ major fighting game tournament is the ideal time to announce new characters for MARVEL Tōkon.
Besides the characters, I’m curious about how the game actually works. Have there been any adjustments made since the beta testing in December 2025?
Arc World Tour 2025-2026, what to expect
The finals for Arc System Works’ official esports circuit, the Arc World Tour 2025-2026, will feature three different fighting games.
- Guilty Gear Strive
- Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising
- Under Night In-Birth II [Sys:Celes]
The event is a culmination of the tournament series that started at Evo Japan 2025.
In addition to the tournament, Arc System Works plans to use the AWT Finals to share more information about the upcoming 2.0 update for their fighting game, Guilty Gear Strive.
MARVEL Tōkon to join AWT?
Although there haven’t been any official announcements about esports for MARVEL Tōkon, it’s pretty clear what the developers have in mind.
- The release date for MARVEL Tōkon is Aug. 8.
- The current World Tour spans two years, with 2025-2026 in its name.
- The next circuit should be the AWT 2027 — which can be a perfect opportunity to include Guilty Gear Strive 2.0 and MARVEL Tōkon.
Okay, so it’s official – MARVEL Tōkon esports is happening! I just saw the announcement that CEO 2026 will definitely have it as one of the games they’re running. The tournament’s going down from August 14th to the 17th, so mark your calendars if you’re planning to compete or watch!
Despite being big fans of Arc System Works and their games, many players are a bit worried about the upcoming MARVEL Tōkon. This concern stems from their latest release, Hunter x Hunter: Nen Impact, which, while enjoyable, feels a little rough around the edges and doesn’t have much content for solo players or the level of polish we usually expect.
MARVEL Tōkon’s appearance at AWT 2025-2026 signals a clear shift in direction for the developers.
