Fans can look forward to seeing Avengers: Endgame back in theaters soon with added footage. It seems these new scenes will connect directly to the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie, setting the stage for what’s next.
This has sparked a lot of discussion about potential changes to the movie, and one popular fan theory, highlighted by sites like GamesRadar+, suggests that the final scenes of Endgame might be altered to add new layers of meaning.
Someone on X (formerly Twitter) pointed out that the metallic sounds from the creation of Iron Man’s Mark 1 suit at the end of Endgame might be repurposed in a future project to represent the forging of Doom’s mask.

The last scene of Endgame shows Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter dancing, and then the movie ends with the credits rolling.
There’s no scene after the credits finish, but as the final logos appear, you can hear the familiar metal clanging sounds from the beginning of the first Iron Man movie playing in the background.

Because Endgame is so full of content, and people have been discussing when the Doomsday storyline starts, it’s possible there’s a scene after the credits that wasn’t initially obvious.
Okay, so there’s this theory going around that Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom might actually make his mask, and get this – they think the sounds used while he’s forging it will be the same ones from when Tony Stark built his Iron Man suits, but all twisted and dark. It’d be a seriously cool, but creepy, callback to his old role!

After its initial release, Avengers: Endgame returned to theaters with extra scenes after the credits, hoping to surpass Avatar and become the highest-grossing film ever. However, it wasn’t successful in achieving that goal.
As a fan, I was glad we got to see some deleted scenes! They weren’t perfect – the Hulk’s CGI was still being worked on – but it was cool to get a peek. Plus, they showed a little teaser for the upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home, and honestly, the tribute to Stan Lee was really moving. It was a nice little bonus!
You can now watch all four Avengers movies on Disney+. Plus, the new movie, Avengers: Doomsday, hits theaters on December 18th.
