Mads Mikkelsen’s Dust Bunny Sets 4K UHD + Digital Release Date

Good news for fans of Bryan Fuller and Mads Mikkelsen! Lionsgate has announced that the fantasy action film Dust Bunny will be available on 4K Ultra HD (with a digital copy) starting April 28th. It will retail for $26.99.

Dust Bunny arrives on 4K UHD next month

The Dust Bunny is now available for home viewing with several improvements. The 4K Ultra HD version includes Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos audio, delivering a viewing experience that stays true to the film’s original look and sound.

Special features included in the release are:

  • Making Dust Bunny
  • Monster Craft
  • Q&A Sizzle
  • Cute to Cutthroat
  • Mads Choreography Video
  • Cast Explainers
  • Theatrical Trailer

The movie centers around ten-year-old Aurora, who discovers her neighbor (Mads Mikkelsen) is a professional killer targeting supernatural creatures. When Aurora believes a monster harmed her family, she hires him for a dangerous job. He reluctantly agrees, haunted by the possibility his past actions led to her parents’ misfortune. To keep Aurora safe, he must fight off waves of assassins, deal with a dangerous woman (Sigourney Weaver), and confront the fact that real monsters do exist. This is the first feature film directed by the imaginative Bryan Fuller.

Sigourney Weaver plays Laverne, the person who manages the hitman, with David Dastmalchian, Sheila Atim, Rebecca Henderson, and Caspar Phillipson also appearing in supporting roles. The film marks writer-director Gareth Fuller’s first time directing a feature-length movie.

If you enjoyed the previous work of Bryan Fuller and Mads Mikkelsen, Dust Bunny feels like the closest thing to a Hannibal revival fans have gotten since the show finished. Fuller was the creator of the popular NBC series Hannibal, starring Mikkelsen as the infamous Hannibal Lecter and Hugh Dancy as FBI profiler Will Graham.

Now that Dust Bunny will be available in 4K UHD on April 28th, more people will have a chance to see it after its theatrical run.
