Madonna’s son David Banda, 18, is ‘scavenging’ for food and selling guitar lessons in NYC despite mom’s $850M fortune – after moving out of her house: ‘It’s fun to be young’

In his own words, David Banda, Madonna’s son, shared that he is making do with a simple existence in New York City. He earns a living by teaching guitar lessons and sometimes resorts to foraging for sustenance because of financial constraints.
An 18-year-old musician, in a relationship with model Maria Atuesta (age 21), has recently left his mom’s house and now resides in The Bronx.
According to The Sun, Banda shared his thoughts on the joys and drawbacks of solitary living: “I truly enjoy it. I’m not actually alone since I have my girlfriend with me, but I still cherish this experience.”
At nine o’clock in the evening, I found myself feeling hungry yet lacking the funds for food. It was an exciting experience as a young person to rummage around and make do with what I had.

A renowned guitarist performed on the tour of the wealthy “Material Girl” singer, whose net worth is approximately $600 million, during her Celebration Tour which concluded in May with a complimentary show in Rio de Janeiro.
In front of large audiences, he joined his mother on stage and played the guitar as Madonna sang her famous hits.
In 2022, the singer had expressed her fondness for David during an interview on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon prior to that.
She told Fallon, “Did you know he also creates music now?” Then she smiled and shared, “I think he’ll be one of your future guests.”
Madonna mentioned her son’s knack for fashion after sharing some of her own abilities, such as making people laugh and being athletic.
“He can pull off any clothing item and exude confidence, which is quite frustrating. It’s baffling how he manages to look more appealing when wearing my clothes.”
During an interview with British Vogue in 2019, she remarked, “Banda is the one who understands me best. It’s as if we share the same genetic makeup more than any of my other children do at present.”
Last year, the singer went through a life-threatening health issue due to a bacterial infection. In an Instagram post from April, she expressed her gratitude towards her husband David and their five children for helping her get through this critical health crisis.
Before our 80th performance of the Celebration Tour, I want to recognize and give a shout-out to my remarkably gifted children. Each one has graced the stage with their distinct talent throughout this journey.
Practices commenced approximately thirteen months ago, interrupted by a two-month hiatus due to my recovery from a brush with death. Despite this interruption, they persisted in rehearsing and remained encouraging and supportive throughout.
The star commented, “My kids’ excitement kept me motivated!!! They were attending school during the day and practicing every evening. I’m incredibly proud of each one of them.”
“This year, I believe my kids gained the most from rehearsing and putting on performances by understanding that pursuing their dreams requires dedication and effort.”
Madonna, currently working on her biopic, reflected, “If each of them decides to take a new path in the future, they’ll never forget this year filled with pain, effort, and tears. Neither will I. It’s a TESTAMENT to our experiences!”
As a lifestyle expert, I’d say, “I have the pleasure of being acquainted with Banda, and just like her, I’m a mother to two wonderful children. With Carlos Leon, I welcomed Lourdes Leon into the world when she was 27 years old. And with Guy Ritchie, I’m blessed to call Rocco, now 23, my son.”
She also adopted David, Mercy, 18, and twins Stella and Estere, 11.
The Sun reported that Banda revealed during an Instagram Live session that his mother is currently involved in a new romantic relationship, without mentioning the identity of her boyfriend.
As an avid fan and follower of hers, I must confess that there have been rumors swirling around about her relationship status. But let me tell you from my personal observation, she’s not single, my dear friends. She’s in a committed relationship with this wonderful guy. It’s been a while since I’ve seen her, but every time I catch a glimpse of her social media or hear whispers from mutual acquaintances, it’s clear that he’s an integral part of her life now. And you know what? That’s how it should be. Every person deserves to live their life the way they choose, and she’s no exception. She’ll continue to pursue her passions and make choices that bring joy and fulfillment to her heart.
It comes shortly after Madonna posed for a snap with a hunky mystery man on Fourth of July.
In May of this year, it came to light that Madonna and her boyfriend, boxer Josh Popper, had ended their relationship after having been together for a year.
A source shared with The Sun that due to Madonna’s extremely busy schedule, she had hardly met up with Josh for several months. Their relationship seemed to have lost its momentum as a result.
Based on my personal experiences and observations, I believe that it’s possible for two people to have a deep connection despite taking a break from their romantic relationship. Sometimes, the pressures of work or personal issues can make maintaining a romantic relationship seem unrealistic, leading couples to take a step back. However, this doesn’t mean they have developed bad feelings towards each other. In fact, they might still cherish their bond and remain friends. This is a common occurrence in many relationships, especially when both parties are committed to preserving the foundation of mutual respect and affection that exists between them. So, while they may be taking a break from being romantically involved, their friendship remains intact.
In May, it came to light that David had been in a romantic relationship with model Maria Atuesta; they are said to have started seeing each other earlier in the year.
According to a different source, The Sun reports that David and Maria are deeply in love. She is his first romantic partner, making their relationship endearing.
Despite having traveled extensively with his mother around the world, he remained committed to making things succeed. Therefore, they maintained consistent communication throughout their journey.
After the tour ended and they had a chance to reunite, it seems as if they had never been separated.
David posted pictures of his ladylove on Instagram, including one where she gleamed a radiant smile directly into the lens.
