Made In Chelsea’s Paris Smith wows in a sheer gown as she enjoys a glass of wine with Layton Williams to celebrate The Devil Wears Prada Musical’s partnership
As a lifestyle expert with decades of experience, I must say that attending events such as this Diablo Wines sponsorship for The Devil Wears Prada Musical is always a delight. It’s fascinating to witness the fusion of fashion, art, and entertainment all under one roof.
On Thursday night, the stars turned up in great numbers to honor Diablo Wines’ fresh partnership with The Devil Wears Prada Musical.
At London’s Mandrake Hotel, the event was graced by trailblazers Paris Smith from Made In Chelsea and Layton Williams of Strictly Come Dancing, as they both joined Diablo’s gathering.
In a stunning black gown adorned with intricate floral patterns and layered over a slip, the 26-year-old Paris displayed her remarkable physique.
She accessorized her appearance with numerous pieces of silver jewelry, and added a vibrant touch by applying a coat of red lipstick.
Layton, at the age of 30, drew attention in a rugged red coat, complemented by black pants styled to resemble leather and dress shoes with brogue detailing.
For the night’s festivities, the attire theme was coordinating outfits based on Diablo’s wines, and clothing options were supplied by River Island.
The musical adaptation of “The Devil Wears Prada” is derived from Lauren Weisberger’s top-selling 2003 novel and the highly successful 2006 movie that earned a global revenue of $326.7 million, all on a production budget between $35-$41 million. This film eventually garnered two Academy Award nominations.
In the play adaptation, Vanessa Williams takes on the chilling character of Miranda Priestly, a role previously brought to life by Meryl Streep in the original version.
The actress who is well-known for her roles in Desperate Housewives and Ugly Betty has graced Broadway numerous times, including a Tony Award nomination for her performance in Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods in 2002 and Horton Foote’s production in 2013.
In a different rendition, the character Georgie Buckland is portrayed by an ambitious journalist named Andy, initially enacted by Anne Hathaway. Meanwhile, Amy Di Bartolomeo steps into the shoes of assistant Emily, previously played by Emily Blunt.
The show will hold its grand premiere at the Dominion Theatre on December 1st, coinciding with World AIDS Day. Notably, Sir Elton John, who composed the music, and his partner David Furnish are expected to be in attendance.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that the captivating musical I was part of made its grand entrance on the stage of Chicago in the year 2022. We, the passionate performers, eagerly anticipate the opportunity for this production to enchant audiences next in the vibrant city of New York.
Freshly graduated from college, ambitious journalist named Andy obtains employment at the illustrious Runway magazine under the command of the industry’s most influential and intimidating figure – editor-in-chief Miranda Priestley, as stated on the musical’s official site.
Driven to compromise her own lifestyle due to Miranda’s unattainable expectations, Andy is drawn into a glitzy environment that she had previously disliked.
Contemplating my own journey towards success, I often ponder: How much am I willing to push myself to achieve greatness, and at what point does the pursuit of ambition become a compromise of personal values? The allure of attaining one’s lifelong desires can sometimes feel like a tempting offer that might require sacrifices beyond measure. In my experience as a lifestyle expert, striking a balance between ambition and integrity is crucial for long-term success and happiness.
With a delightful mix of humor and fashion flair, The Devil Wears Prada weaves an uplifting tale about uncovering the real you and the kind of person you aspire to become.
This upcoming show is under the creative direction of Jerry Mitchell for both directing and choreography. The set is designed by Tim Hatley, costumes are designed by Gregg Barnes, lighting is designed by Bruno Poet, sound design is handled by Gareth Owen, and casting is done by Jill Green (CDG).
This production showcases an exclusive composition by Elton John for its soundtrack, while Shaina Taub contributes with the song lyrics, and Kate Wetherhead takes care of the script.
