Peacock has unveiled the first trailer for its upcoming crime thriller, which many believe will fill the void left by Ozark. Titled M.I.A., the nine-episode series will be available all at once on May 7, 2026, letting viewers binge-watch the intense, visually striking story. The show centers on a woman seeking revenge for her family’s murder, tracking down the twelve people responsible. However, her quest will lead her down a dangerous path, turning her from a heartbroken orphan into a powerful and ruthless crime boss in South Florida.
Etta Tiger Jonze feels trapped in the Florida Keys and longs for the exciting life of Miami. When a family tragedy destroys her family’s criminal operation, she’s forced into a perilous journey through the dark side of the city, a journey that will test her limits and shape her future.
Shannon Gisela stars as Etta Tiger Jonze in the new Peacock series, where she’ll build a close-knit group of friends. Cary Elwes plays investigator Kincaid, and Danay Garcia, Brittany Adebumola, Dylan Jackson, Alberto Guerra, Maurice Compte, Gerardo Celasco, and Marta Milans are also series regulars. The show will also feature guest appearances by Edward James Olmos, Billy Burke, Sonia Braga, Loretta Devine, Tovah Felshuh, Tyler Perez, Paul Ben-Victor, and David Denman.
