Love Island’s Matilda-June Draper and TOWIE’s Roman Hackett have ended their relationship, according to the Daily Mail.
After a year together, Matilda, known from the 2024 season of Love Island, and Roman have ended their relationship. They first became a couple while filming The Only Way Is Essex.
Last July, the two friends strengthened their close relationship by getting baptized together. They both found faith as a way to help manage their social anxieties.
I’m absolutely gutted, but apparently, Matilda and Roman, they just weren’t working anymore. I heard things had been rocky for a while now, these past few months especially. It’s so sad, but thankfully, my sources say they’re still friends, which is… something, I guess. Still, I’m heartbroken for them both!
According to a source close to them, Matilda and Roman were very close and their friends thought they had a lasting connection, despite their age difference.
They broke up earlier this month, but it wasn’t due to infidelity. They had simply drifted apart and mutually agreed to end the relationship.
After her relationship with Sean Stone ended shortly after appearing on Love Island, Matilda started dating Roman.
Sean came back for the All Stars season and is now dating Lucinda Strafford.
During filming, the couple received criticism from other contestants and people watching the show. However, they seem to have become even stronger as a couple since the show ended.
Matilda often shared moments from her relationship with Roman on social media, like Instagram and TikTok, and even documented their experience getting baptized together.
Last July, she shared a touching video with Roman, explaining that they found hope in God during a difficult time.
