Taylor Sheridan is currently the most successful creator on television, with popular shows like Yellowstone, 1883, 1923, Landman, Tulsa King, and Mayor of Kingstown. His latest hit is Lioness, a Paramount+ spy thriller focusing on a CIA program that uses female agents to go undercover within terrorist groups. The show has already been renewed for a third season and is actively adding new cast members.
According to Deadline, Elizaveta Neretin is joining the cast of Lioness in a significant recurring role. She’ll play an international operative who interacts with Joe, the head of the Lioness program, portrayed by Zoe Saldaña. Viewers familiar with Taylor Sheridan’s other work will recognize Neretin as Vera Sunter from Mayor of Kingstown. Though her character was written off that show after season one, Sheridan enjoys collaborating with the same actors on multiple projects. Neretin joins others like James Jordan, Gil Birmingham, Dawn Olivieri, and Jeremy Renner who have appeared in more than one of Sheridan’s series.
Like most projects from Taylor Sheridan, Lioness boasts a fantastic cast. Zoe Saldaña, recently named the highest-grossing actor ever, leads the way. She’s joined by Nicole Kidman, who plays Kaitlyn Meade, the supervisor Joe reports to at the CIA. And adding even more star power, Morgan Freeman—an Academy Award winner—plays Secretary of State Edwin Mullins.
‘Lioness’ season 3 will continue Taylor Sheridan’s TV dominance

Paramount+
Season two of Lioness featured a talented cast including Michael Kelly, Laysla De Oliveira, Genesis Rodriguez, Dave Annable, Jill Wagner, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan, Austin Hébert, Jonah Wharton, Thad Luckinbill, and Hannah Love Lanier. Previously announced alongside Neretin, Ian Bohen – known for his work on Yellowstone – will be a main cast member in season three.
Season two of Lioness was full of even more intense action and danger than the first. Joe managed to survive with her family, but things can change quickly on this show. We don’t yet know what’s next for Joe and the other characters in season three, or when new episodes will be released, though they might arrive as early as late 2026.
If you’re a fan of Taylor Sheridan’s shows and can’t wait for the next season, there’s often another one coming soon. His new series, Marshals, a spin-off of Yellowstone, will feature returning cast members Luke Grimes, Gil Birmingham, Mo Brings Plenty, and Brecken Merrill, and premieres in March.
