Vicky McClure, Adrian Dunbar, and Martin Compston will all be returning to their roles, and they’ve recently shared a few updates about filming as fans anxiously await the new episodes.
The actors recently shared a short video on Instagram showing them looking at the script. Since filming is scheduled to start this spring, it’s likely they’re having rehearsals to prepare.
McClure announced the return of season seven while showing off the script to the camera. She quickly flipped through the pages, but strategically used an emoji to hide the details from curious fans.

Robert Carlyle will play Detective Constable Shaun Massie, a specialist rifle officer working with the TO-7 unit to combat organized crime, as was previously revealed.
