Lily goes lightly into role she was born for: Emily In Paris star to play Audrey Hepburn in film about making of Breakfast At Tiffany’s

It’s the iconic role Lily Collins was born to play.

The actress, known for her character’s Audrey Hepburn-inspired fashion in Emily In Paris, will play the iconic Hollywood star in a new biographical film.

I’m so excited! The incredibly talented 36-year-old actress is going to be starring in a movie all about how they madeBreakfast at Tiffany’s‘ back in 1961. It’s going to be fascinating to see the behind-the-scenes story of such a beloved film!

The new movie, currently without a title, will be based on Sam Wasson’s book, Fifth Avenue, 5am, which tells the story of how Breakfast at Tiffany’s was made and its impact on modern women.

Ms. Collins shared the exciting news on Instagram, explaining that after nearly a decade of work and a lifelong love of Audrey Hepburn, she was finally able to reveal it.

‘Honoured and ecstatic don’t begin to express how I feel.’

Phil Collins’ daughter, Ms. Collins, has often shared her appreciation for Audrey Hepburn.

On several occasions, she has even copied the late actress’s style.

In a 2014 interview, Ms. Collins shared that she’s always drawn inspiration from movies, particularly naming Funny Face (1957) and Sabrina (1954) as her favorites.

She said at the time: ‘In her films, her smile and her eyes said it all.

‘She could convey strong emotions without even opening her mouth.

As an actress, conveying emotion without speaking is the most impactful skill you can have.

‘And she was so elegant… I’ve always been rather fascinated by her personality, her character.

It’s incredibly flattering to be mentioned in the same breath as someone as wonderful and legendary as Audrey Hepburn, but I’m not attempting to emulate her or follow in her footsteps. I’m forging my own path.

‘At any rate, no one can be the next Audrey Hepburn!’

Alena Smith, who created the Apple TV+ series Dickinson, is writing the script for the upcoming biopic.

Audrey Hepburn, considered one of the greatest actresses of Hollywood’s golden age by the American Film Institute, passed away in 1993 at the age of 63 after a fight with a rare cancer of the appendix.

Born in Brussels to a Dutch mother and a British father, she spent her childhood in Kent after the family moved there.

In 1953 she won an Oscar for her role in Roman Holiday.

In the film Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Audrey Hepburn starred as Holly Golightly, a New York City resident who develops a connection with a new neighbor, played by George Peppard. However, her hidden past puts their budding relationship at risk.

Her performance in the film earned her a Best Actress nomination at the 1962 Academy Awards, and the movie itself received five nominations.

The movie, which was based on Truman Capote’s 1958 story, received excellent reviews and earned $14 million at the box office. Adjusted for inflation, that’s about $152 million in today’s money.

The film received Academy Awards for both Best Original Score, composed by Henry Mancini, and Best Original Song, “Moon River,” which was performed by Audrey Hepburn.
