Ten years on from her rant, the 2026 BRIT Awards were supposed to cap her fairytale music comeback.

Fans and critics both loved her album, West End Girl, seeing it as a welcome return to the sound that made her famous when she first appeared on the music scene in the early 2000s with songs like ‘Smile’ and ‘LDN’.

Lily details the end of her four-year marriage to actor David Harbour, 50, a relationship complicated by rumors of infidelity – hints of which appear in several of her songs, including one called ‘Madeline’.

Lily Allen told Elle UK that her album, which she playfully called ‘revenge,’ was a way for her to work through a really difficult and upsetting time in her life.
